Just wait for the 2.1 patch. It'll come soon.. err, sometimes within near future. Just give it some time. ^^ Its going to be worth it. And for people who literally want to get rid of cheaters, theres an option to put a high crc checking on so no one can use any skins/mods/huds/anything like that.. Or atleast so I've heard.

I'm definitely not a fan of disabling skins and other client side mods. Hopefully most server owners won't enable that. Just because a few players use cheat skins, that shouldn't spoil everything for everyone.
When the more recent A5 news dies down in a day or 2, I'll slap this up on the front page.

Worth it? high crc checking should only be for server mods... not a patch... (people will abuse that via the patch no doubt)

Skins can be used as cheats? How so? I haven't played AVP 2 in a while but shouldn't the server already detect your game resources to see if everything checks out? Anyways if you guys are releasing a new server patch I might actually try AVP 2 MP out. It's been years since I last played it.
The lighting model for maps and models are separate and using a negative or fullbright skins for your enemy guarantees you can shoot off someone's face literally across a map.
I've posted it on the front page (and it'll post across to Facebook/Twitter too) for you.

Unfortunately there are still a few who use skins like that. This should get rid of those when needed for some special servers who want to make sure they are playing a clean game. It should be possible to allow HUD skins and get rid of everything else at the same time for those special ones. And yeah, most servers work like they used to in the future, I think. Its up to the fellas running the servers.

have same issues of tbbc
server kick player at end of round except if you have ump2 activated.
All servers have updated with the new 2.1 ms have problems of instability and lag problem
ping its stable but people teleport as hell
addionaly
there and also an increase in people who are banned from servers automatically
without any reason.
you can ask the admin of TBBC just check the logs.

I'm getting a strange message. When I click Multiplayer Online, I get the loading bar for checking the connection and then it says "Verification has failed... internet connection may be down or the servers can't verify, limited to LAN games". I'm paraphrasing but I haven't encountered this problem before. Any thoughts? It's worked before for me, no prob.
UPDATE: Tried redownloading the master patch... SUCCESS!

That's because of a recent conflict.... the games still playable on 2.1 for now.
you can download 2.2 if you want, but were not offering support on that version. (until we resolve this issue)

the 2.2 ms or if you prefer the term TBBC master server mod
has found great sucess in popularity other servers have adopted this system (DBH for exemple)
despite this rivalry between TBBC and mrx I still hope that we can move forward.
why not bury the war 's hatchet and look the future 2.2 beta 2.2 alpha or 2.3 costum

The AVP2 mod I played most was AJL's. That mod was freak'n INCREDIBLE.
Updated to 2.2 last night. Worked a treat. Played a few games with RidgeTop. Man, I do miss this game. Went back and downloaded OPP1 to reminisce.
I've reinstalled AvP2 w/ Tools on it, and I've also decided to go back into the MP but man, what's going on? It's finally dead? ???
