Nothing will carry over. They're independent of each other. So If you're an achievement whore like myself, you can have double points for having played both. So make sure to get the DLC for the console you'll want to play on the most!
Good to know and exactly what I wanted to know! Thanks! I'll hold off on dlc until I get an Xbox one in that case...

It's not my saves I'm worried about. I'd be more than okay playing from the beginning again... I just don't want to have to find all the archive logs, nostromo logs, and ID tags again, or unlock all the achievements again. I'm hoping those things will register as being found already, and I'm hoping the Xbox one achievements aren't separate from the Xbox 360 achievements (I.e., if you're familiar with halo Spartan assault, every platform had the same achievements but they were separate, so you could technically unlock the same achievement 4 different times and get gamer points for it each time).

Sorry for double posting... But I'm also on the fence about the dlc packs. For starters, I don't want to buy it now for the Xbox 360, then have to buy it all over again when I get an Xbox one. So I was hoping also, that the dlc would carry over when I get the new system...

... Speaking of which, did they ever fix the season pass issue on the Xbox 360?

I cannot say how it compares to next gem consoles, because I haven't played it there yet... But for the xbox360, here's what I see:

Season pass isn't working properly. No fix on this yet, so I'm waiting to buy it. If I get an Xbox one before then, I'll just wait to buy it on a next gen system.

Graphics are amazing! I've heard the graphics are almost on par with xboxone, but again, I can't say that for sure. I'd imagine the Xbox one is a little better polished, and has better gas/fire/water effects, but all that still looks really good on the 360 too! Same with lighting.

There are some minor graphical glitches here and there... Some times, objects apear to be floating, but really there's a crate under it or something which didn't seem to load. If you pause, then unpause the glitch fixes itself. Other times, it looks like the alien passes right through wall corners, or sticks it's face right through locker doors while sniffing for me, but not so often that it kills the experience (like with A:CM). Not sure if those same issues happen on next gen consoles or not.

My biggest grievance, with respect to performance, is the lag. Some times, if there's a lot of action/moving objects, the game starts to lag and it gets really "jumpy." For example, if I'm being attacked by 4 or 5 joes, who are all on fire, it'll start to lag. It's not too frequent though, so forgivable to me.

There are some lip syncing issues too, but I believe that's on all platforms. That's forgivable in my opinion too.

All in all, I can't wait to try it out on a next gen console, but even on the Xbox 360 I am very impressed and love this game! Best alien(s) game ever, in my opinion!

both prev gen consoles have issues; if you want a bullshit free 100% pick up and play experience, you should wait.

That said; both prev gen consoles are supposed to receive patches for extant issues.

As far as I understand it your achievements would carry over, but not your saves or DLC.
QuoteGames, gamesaves, and apps: Xbox One is not backwards-compatible with your existing Xbox 360 games, gamesaves, or apps.

I guess a question to you (and to anyone else with the 360 version). How does the game hold up on Xbox 360. Was thinking of picking this up for a friend, but was wondering if I should just wait until he upgrades to the new consoles. From what I've seen the visuals look pretty good, but I've heard the load times are not that great.

I'm currently playing on the xbox360, but plan on getting an Xbox one and upgrading my copy of alien to the next gen console. I have 2 semi related questions:

1) will my game progress from the Xbox 360 carry over to the Xbox one? Or will I have to start over and unlock all the achievements again, and find all the archive logs, ID tags and nostromo logs again?

2) if I buy any dlc packs or the season pass for my Xbox 360, will that carry over to the Xbox one? Or would I have to buy those separately for the Xbox one?

If anybody knows, I have the same questions about destiny too.
