Predators on iPod had achievements.

Lie

I've played that, that's partly the reason why I don't want it to be an App. I find the Requiem game for PSP more enjoyable than Predators.

Really?  I found AVPR kind repetitive, especially after you get the combistick.

SM

How about a game where WY and the marines have stolen the Aliens eggs...

It is. Get's kinda too easy after that.

Conversely the mobile phone game for Requiem was quite fun. It's a fairly faithful AvP game actually.

Faithful to what exactly?

A f**king app! >:(

I thought I was looking at the next AVPE here what a let down.
There's tons of "apps" that are legitimately great games in their own right, I'm not seeing the problem here. ???

I'd just prefer it been on a platform with trophies and achievements with possible online play, I can't see an App having all the qualities that I'd love to see in an AVP RPG, Real time strategy or any type of game.
I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised by AvP Evolution, if you're using the 'Predators' game as your baseline. :)

The AvP PC games. While it's a sprite-based top-down thing, the two campaigns are as an alien making your way through a Marine facility where they've got your queen, featuring various castes of aliens including praetorians, and as a Pred making your way through the same base, trying to get to the queen to take her out. It's quite fun, if a bit short.

I've been pleasantly surprised with the games being put out by big developers on phones over the last half decade. The Dead Space game is equivalent to a PS1-era horror game. SEGA's been putting Sonic 4 on mobile. Rayman Origins got a mobile port. there's a Mass Effect title. Square-Enix has put out three full ps2-level jrpgs in the Chaos Ring series, as well as porting a bunch of Final Fantasy games to mobile. Kojima even made a mobile full 3d with active camo system Metal Gear title that takes place between MGS1 and 2. And that's not even taking into account all of the really high-quality knock-off games that Gameloft brings to the table that faithfully capture the graphics and feel of such titles as Zelda, Halo, Assassin's Creed (not to mention their actual Assassin's Creed games), God of War, World of Warcraft, LoL, Final Fantasy X, Red Dead Redemption, GTA, Serious Sam, Forza, Spider-Man, Arkham City, and tons more.

The point I'm trying to make is that I don't think you're giving the platform enough credit.

Corporal Hicks

Wow. It's looking really good.

Still need to finish off Predators!

predxeno

Which level are you on?

Corporal Hicks

The one with all the Super Predators.

You mean Mission 28: Tusk and Talons?  Yeah, I hated that level so much and unfortunately if you think that's bad then you are going to hate Mr. Black.  I still don't know how it is I managed to earn the Invincible achievement (Don't Die Once in a Campaign); it seems awesome that I did looking back tho. ;D  If you need any help, don't hesitate to ask. :)
