Although i hated it when it was released, over time I actually have found it to be very watchable and fun. Cheesy and silly but also sincere, if that makes sense?

same here there's such an interesting and lengthy process behind what ended up being just an okay action film

(that I personally like, IF taken as a separate continuity from either Alien or Predator)

I have a love hate relationship with it. It always frustrates me his long it takes to get going for such little payoff, but I do enjoy the film. There's a lot of nostalgia there.
