Sorry guys the game is lost to time. Someone back in the day offered to convert it and put it on a disk for me but if turned out to be way more work than he thought. I had to hand type all the story and HTML using a Webtv, and then I had to go back and fix a bunch of typos.

Fun times gone but not forgotten.

I had no idea you were the same MetalAlien who created the Alien Interactive story! I used to visit that site frequently back in the day and loved it. I still visit the archive link occasionally for the memories. I remember showing the site to my classmates in IT class during college and getting them to play. Thanks for the memories @MetalAlien

You are welcome!... I just wish it could have been saved. I had a policy back then of thinking of something I would love to find myself.. and then building that.

This is really cool !

From the looks of it seems this game takes place in some sort of an alternative timeline where events play out a bit differently

I really dig the tone this is going for and how most of the choices lead to the lonely brutal death lol

Yeah I had to work with what I had picture-wise so I had to come up with the story that fit with the pictures I actually had to use. More custom pictures deeper in the game but unfortunately the archive doesn't go that deep in. Glad people still remember it!

I had a small number of Star Trek choose-your-own-adventure books when I was a kid that I had a fondness for, and I can still remember my excitement at discovering this. I'm sure you did 2 versions of it too?

I had started doing a John Carpenters The Thing Interactive Story. I actually had a good portion of it done when I decided to hold off on that and that project turned into The Thing II Fan Film. Much more fun making movies than the games. :)

And yes I had started on making an Alien fan film. Terminators Vs Aliens... I was 1500 bucks into that movie when the housing crisis and economy crash happened... combine that with some personal stuff and I had to stop production on that and it never came back.

I can't do movies anymore it takes too much time and effort so now I just build stuff.

Maybe you should recreate it entirely from scratch for modern audiences.

That was an artifact of the past. I don't even remember all the details of the story or even how to make it compatible with modern computers and phones. I feel like to do it right we would need a windows 98 emulator or something.. lol

I have so many upcoming projects I don't know where I would find the time either. I miss it too though.

Digging through old computer folders I did find some old images from the game that are not preserved on the archive I think... I know for sure some of these images are not linked in the archive...

I am going to post them here so anyone googling the game might find them and for some of you that liked the game. I really wish you guys had an upload feature since free image hosting websites can shut down sometimes..

This was my death in the claw room. I know for sure this one is not on the archive.

This is the Alien that got me.

Friends of mine from another aliens forum.

From the end of the game

Oh man am I having flashbacks! I don't remember the SA80 images, but I'm loving them.

I would update the game sometimes... you can see that in the archive when you are on a page if you chose a later date sometimes the page would change...

I remember playing through this back in the day. It would be cool to see a proper Alien themed point and click. Like MYST. What ALIENS : A COMIC BOOK ADVENTURE wanted to be without the bugs, jank, and obtuse, frustrating, design.

Anyone remember the other one of these that told the story of the alien outbreak on the Jockey ship? It had some custom art, even showing the battle between the Jockey crew and the aliens. I haven't been able to find hide nor hair of it in, well, approaching 20 years by this point. I "played" through that one once, and then never found it again.
