Here is a sculpt I did of the snakehugger (or cobraburster, depending which you prefer). I tried to take into account how it looks in the regular lighting and how it looks in the spotlight when it appears that the "facial features" flattened out a bit. I think it's a pretty good middle ground. Details: approx 3.5 inches tall, oil clay.

Looks a bit like a glans before it's unfurled, as well.
I'm not crazy about the design, but it's definitely very solid.

Thanks, I did it in about 3 1/2 hours over the course of the week the first trailer came out that revealed this creature. Thanks for the kind words guys.

I think Ridley went over this - saying that he wasn't hesitant about the technological advancements in Prometheus, as he said that 1) the Prometheus is a state of the art ship while the Nostromo was just a ore space truck and 2) there is only so much you can do to bridge the gap, and if anyone cares that much, they can just remake the original to include LCD screens and that rubbish, he thinks its fine the way it is.

I just came across this now. Really good job. I can see how if this came out now - how we would all freeze frame every second and try to come up with the answers!

Clearly, we would all be blown away by the queen, the facehugger sabotage, the 1v1 at the end, corpse bishop etc.

I like how everyone forgets the relevant technology present in three entire sequels - 'tis a most enjoyable game of forgetful memory and misdirection!
