Same problem with each movie since TFA. They have been degrading (quality of content wise) more and more until Solo flopped from the backlash.

I don't deny that they have to step up their game, i just doubt George brings anything of worth to the table.

Right now the brand is in jeopardy, so they need to more than step up their game. They need to completely change how things are run over there. Step one should be to can the entire story group.

Star Wars still makes probably more money then any other franchise except the MCU and is still one of the most popular and biggest things there is.

I think you are exaggerating the state it is in a little.

Forbes of all places wouldn't be running titles and articles like this if that were true:

The brand is hemorrhaging with the products side of things. Which is where historically the franchise makes the most money from.

Well, worldclassbullshitter is no serious source for anything, and I don't see how the other stuff is describing the end of Star Wars like you paint it.

Sure Star Wars is not as sucessful as it once was, but that is something all franchises are enduring atm if they are not Marvel or related. The kids want superhero action figures now, not Star Wars stuff.

There may be less or smaller budget  Star Wars in the future, but you can bet your ass there will be Star Wars.

Would you like retailers figures? It's not pretty.

Not sure if you are in the US but here if you go to Walmart or Target this stuff is piled several feet high and discounted to oblivion. They practically can't give it away.

"Call it Star Wars burnout, or better yet "movie fatigue," said Gerrick Johnson, an analyst for BMO Capital Markets. Hollywood and toymakers have fixated on toy-friendly films at a time when kids are increasingly turning to YouTube, Netflix and social media for entertainment."

From your third source. Seems like the toy market in general is changing in the sense that it is getting smaller, ergo less toys sold. Star Wars or other.

The fact that you have movie after movie in short order with basically the same stuff probably did not help either.

I tried to give you varied perspectives, so you don't accuse me of not doing that. Of course they will say that. But I don't think people are fatigued by Star Wars. They are fatigued by bad Star Wars. Look how excited people were for the fan film. That sucker had more views and upvotes than some of the actual movie trailers. The new stuff just doesn't resonate like the old stuff. The data backs that point up. Sorry man.

I don't accused you of anything.
I just quoted one of your sources i found very plausible. The biggest market for toys is children. If they buy less toys in general, they will buy less Star Wars too. Especially if they have a nearly identical toy from the last movie the year before. Sounds like a good explanation, no?
On top of that you have all the superhero stuff courting for the kids pocket money atm.

Nothing of your Data backs up in any way that what you consider good Star Wars would change that in any way.

The fan film about the most popular character in Star Wars had a lot of upvotes and likes? No shit.
But what does that prove besides that it got a lot of likes and upvotes? Nothing. That does not translate to cinema tickets, bought toys or any of the sort.

Again i don't deny Star Wars is lacking atm, i just doubt the brand is in the state you are describing and that George could do any better in todays market.
