Why does it come as a surprise to anyone that developers make scumbag moves? They are people after all. 

Indeed they are. Regardless of how I feel about the man, he still deserves to be assumed "innocent until proven guilty" before the law. The police will determine whether or not there is any validity to these accusations.

That being said, the magic business is a p*ss poor excuse. It's borderline childish, and it makes me wonder.

Honestly, if and when I can pick up a PS4, it'll go right on the list. I do enjoy the Borderlands games. The Triple Pack on PS3 with all the DLC was months of fun, especially when you're playing local coop.
