Now that looks very interesting!
Intrigued by this. I'll check it out.
Weird shit... I am game.
Looks sick :)
So onboard.
David Fincher's Science Fiction return!
I watched this Friday night/Saturday day after seeing it trending on NetFlix. Didn't have a clue what it was and was pleasantly surprised. A few misses, of course, but over all it was a really enjoyable anthology. That's the kind of animation quality I'd have liked to have seen with Aliens' animated outing.
Yeah this is awesome. This format would work so well with Alien/Predator.
Four episodes in and really liking this so far. Ep 3's animation was absolutely gorgeous, and I thought ep 2 was kind of adorable.
Loved this. Only a couple of weak episodes in my opinion.
However, the episode BEYOND THE AQUILA RIFT really stuck with me. That ending! Beyond horrific (in the best way).
Fantastic series, worthwhile.

Easily my favourite too.
Love this so much. Some episodes were a lil weak but still entertaining. I want more after watching all 18 episodes.
Agreed on what has been said. While some were weaker than others, all entries were entertaining, some were really great.
Nice, refreshing stuff. Hope we will get more anthology stuff like that in the future.
It's a great way to test out ideas.

Just finished this one. I really wanted to love it (and I loved basically every individual piece of it) but for whatever reason the pieces didn't really come together as a whole for me in the right ways. Odd 'cause there's so much about it that hits on some of my favorite sci-fi concepts. I loved the core story, the end reveal, what it was saying... I just wish I loved the whole ep; I need to watch it again I think.
So far my favorites have been Three Robots and Suits.
Phenomenal series, adore it.
Hypnotic, beautiful animation.
Favourites: Sonnie's Edge, Beyond the Aquila Rift, Lucky 13, Good Hunting, Shape-Shifters and The Witness.

I think Three Robots is my favorite, followed closely by Zima Blue.
Others I really liked:
- Beyond the Aquila Rift
- Sonnie's Edge
- Suits
- Blackout
I got a pretty big giggle out of When The Yogurt took Over, and Ice Age was pretty neat.
I did not know what to expect when I heard about this. I loved it overall, some were great, some were weaker, but I really appreciate what they tried with this anthology.
A instant (eventual) Blu-ray purchase.
Beyond the Aquila Rift was a mind f**k for sure. Really liked that episode. It stuck with me a bit at the end.
I also LOVED Sonnie's Edge. I'd love to see more from that world. That was a great twist at the end.
Others I really enjoyed were Suits, Sucker of Souls (although there isn't much resolution), Shape-Shifters, Lucky 13, Blindspot, and Secret War.
I think all of those except for Lucky 13 could be expanded into a movie or mini-series. I'd love to see more of those worlds.
I hope to see more of this going forward.
Spoiler
That spider reveal at the end of Beyond the Aquila Rift was absolutely terrifying and truly brilliantly executed too
Who caught the LV-426 reference in Helping Hand?
Everyone. lol
Nice. Didn't see anyone mention it ay.
That Shape-Shifters episode is great!

I don't think Netflix releases their original stuff on bluray?

They did with Annihilation - though that was a Paramount/Netflix joint thing.
It's a possibility
not a certainty though.
They did the Marvel shows too.
Netflix TV gets physical releases. Their films do not.
Annihilation and The Cloverfield Paradox are exceptions. Annihilation was only on Netflix internationally (it was a theatrical release in the US) and TCP was never intended to release on the platform; it was a theatrical release until Paramount got cold feet and knew that it would never make all of its money back, so they sold it to Netflix with a one year exclusive contract. One year after it went live on Netflix a Blu-ray dropped.
There is a trailer for season 2 on Netflix currently if you look in the "extras" tab for the first season. It isn't on YouTube or any social media yet though so I have no way of posting it here.
And Vol. 3 confirmed for 2022 as well:

Yes...can't wait...love the first season!
I enjoyed Season 2. Think I need to rewatch as I wasn't paying complete attention, but I'm sure I mostly dug it.
Had a lot of cool ideas, but felt overall disappointed. Liked the first season so much better. Most of the episodes went by too fast, didn't last long enough, just felt the pacing was off and the endings were anticlimactic and clumsy in some episodes. Half of them needed to be like an hour long. Though they had great ideas, the animation was great and the styles and stories will definitely stick with me.
The way I see it, I think this season was more of a flat line than the first. The first season had higher highs, but also lower lows; this bunch just kind of sat around the middle.
Nothing in the first Season's more of a dud than the opener to this one though.
I recently got into this series a couple months ago so didn't have to wait quite as long for the second season to release.
Only a handful of episodes from season 2 really stood out to me though, season 2 left a lot more to be desired.

From the looks of the trailer
ace3g posted, it looks like it has. Glad we're getting the Three Robots again!

Hell yeah! I loved season 2, not a patch on Season 1 m, but a Fincher episode will probably blow everything we've seen away.
I like the looks of The Very Pulse of the Machine! Really interested to see that one!

Just from the tease in the trailer, this episode looks great!
Just watched the first one in Vol. 3, Three Robots: Exit Strategies.
So at the end of an episode that is laser-focused on the societal and environmental collapse of the Earth and constantly poking fun at "Tech Millionaires," you're going to throw in a QR code than links to a site to mint an NFT based on that very episode?
I was wondering what the QR codes would link to, now I know. I think there was one or two more on a few of the episodes as well.
I enjoyed all of the stories in Vol. 3.
Of course THAT ONE's directed by David Fincher.
Binged season 3 last 2 nights. Mostly hits but a few misses. Loved
Spoiler
Night of the Mini Dead (so well done), the giant crab creature one, the swarm, the cave one, the giant cyborg badger and the Rats one. Found Pulse and the Jibaro either boring or just stupid
.
Pulse rules you pleb

Yer nah.
That said the artwork style had a very moebius feel about it which I loved.
I want to see a movie for In Vaulted Halls Entombed.
S3 far above S2, David Fincher in essence doing another Alien film's a treat. But like many others Jibaro's probably my favourite, Swarm's just nihilistic meh, but pretty.

It's the worst kind of toxic relationship a couple can go through. No one wins.
S3 is quality, perhaps the over the top gore gets a bit old after a while but generally great stuff. One of the few things I've really enjoyed coming from Netflix.
season was bonkers esp the crab boat and the last two eps

Same, this was definitely my favorite episode from this season.
Jibaro and then
The Very Pulse of the Machine were close runner ups... Very solid season though!
Good season better then vol2

was that really the big C or cause I've seen people thinking that it was his brother Cthanid
I don't believe the director has officially confirmed this, but I'm going to say it is. Also, I believe Kthanid is the exact opposite of Cthulu so that'll make him a good god.

Fantastic news!
Finally got around to seeing the 3rd season. There was not one single episode I disliked, all of them were really crazy and fun. Loved it, maybe even more than the 1st season? After the meh 2cnd season, this a great renewal. Can't wait for the next season!
P. S. I didn't think I was gonna like the final episode, but daaaaaaamn was that emotional with the music and nicely symbolic.
Yeah I loved Jibaro.
