Yeah, I can't decide what it is. Shuttle cockpit set? Looks like the quarry location outside. Is just a crane?

Some of those shitty pap shots we love so much and in such wonderful quality. Fassbender and Scott out for dinner. Doesn't look like Fassy died his hair blond. I wonder if he wore a wig?

Regarding Fassbender's hair color, I would consider T.S. Lawrence and how deeply he became entrenched in Arabian society.  Perhaps David has become so deeply entrenched in Engineer tech that he doesn't even have hair.

That looks a lot like the beluga alien I thin it was called. That was the Fifield transformation from the concept art for Spaihts's Script.

Is there a chance then we might see more of the unused creature designs from Prometheus(or at least the pre Lindelof concept art) in Covenant?

I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with Covenant or Prometheus outside of being created by a fella working on Covvie. Dane wasn't involved with Prometheus.

Quote👽⚡️DREAM TEAM ⚡️👽 All wrapped up on Alien Covenant! What a crazy start to the year! Has been an absolute honour to have worked on this film with such fantastic, talented and like minded people! Hope to do it all again soon. Miss you guys!

To the right of the crew on the #dreamteam picture it looks like some Giger-ish structure, kind of like the derelict ship...

Corporal Hicks

I can kind of see it.

Enoch

Maybe one of the heads within the gigeresque Engineer structure...

Is no one going to mention the Slug-like thing on the T-shirt? It looks like you can see various stages of it. As if the T-shirt depicts the evolution of the Facehugger.

Corporal Hicks

Pretty sure that's just intended to be the proboscis that gets shoved down the lucky fella's throat.

Speaking of Fassbender... I am really curious as to how David gets his head re-attached... He doesn't appear blonde in ANY of the pictures — which is alright considering he dyed it blonde at the beginning of Prometheus. Also, the only indication of his character is the David onboard the Covenant ship in that promotional picture with Ridley. I'm even considering that he doesn't get it re-attached, but that he somehow binds with the Engineer technology (kind of like how Fifield and Holloway became *something more* thanks to having introduced it into their bodies). Maybe Scott and co. will go the biomechanical angle this time around and have the black goo definitively act as a sort of technology instead of it being an ambiguous bio-weapon.

Danny McBride shares photo from set of Alien: Covenant. Earlier this morning the captain of the Covenant, Danny McBride, shared a photo from the set of Alien: Covenant via his Instagram. This image has since been shared by the official Alien Instagram.

It's a little hard to tell exactly what is going on but it would appear to be a cockpit of some variety. Given the apparently small size, it maybe the cockpit of a shuttle?

As tmjhur mentioned, this looks like the interior of a real space going vessel, almost like a re-entry module. Maybe Ridley got The Martian's set decorators to do the space craft interiors again. There's even the old style steam gauge dials on that panel!

You sure this isn't a selfie he took at the Seattle Science museum?  :P

Does android hair grow?

Anyway, cool ideas. A David head attached to some biomechanical thing could be pretty unnerving.

This goes well with my theory that the Covenant is old tech :)

I thought the same thing when they show David re-dying his roots blonde in the beginning of Prometheus. If the roots were darker, maybe his "natural" hair color is what we'll see in Covenant?

I always thought David would have a bald Engineer head in this but I guess not unless they do a bald cap like they did for Sigourney on Alien 3 reshoots.

XENOMORPHOSIS

Quick question, who here think they'll include a sequence where the artificial gravity goes haywire causing the crew members and aliens to float through the ship unhinged by gravity allowing them smooth rabid motion through the ship, leading to memorable kills with blood and guy spilling but still afloat in the air? Such an effect would be costly but great to see pulled off on the big screen.

Hopefully it takes sooner than another 5 years  ::)

windebieste

Well, reduction in the ship's gravity - and a rational explanation for its lowered presence is already factored into these movies - is  is one of the key components of explaining how the egg(s) get aboard the Sulaco, so why not?

It's about time we saw some null gravity action in this series either way.

Or is this the other David that we've seen?
