New Scenes in Featurette!!!!!

The predator shot where you can see the wires is uncompleated, the predator will cloak before he gets that far,so you wont notice.  like the rod on the facehugger.  the shots seemed pretty short to me. the only thing I diddnt like was the alien jumping and the predator running at the last part, that looked pretty dumb.  but about the bulkyness of the predator. try playing avp2, that is probobly where paul got the idea, diffrent classes are diffrent sizes, the light predator is skinny and fast, but the heavy or assult predator is slow but strong.  This movie will be good, but I hope they at least use some CGI. cause some stuff looked fake, but overall this movie will rock.   I mean Its not like the other alien or predator movies diddnt have mistakes. let me name afew  Alien: the alien should not have had the skull like eye sockets, that was a bad idea.   Aliens: LV-426 looks nothing like it did, you can see bishop comming out of the hole when he is in half,  the queen walking down the elevator hall looked incredibley fake.  Alien3: HOW THE F**k did the alien get on the Sulaco, no explanation.  Alien Rez: Just about evreything was wrong with the movie  Predator: nothing was wrong with predator.  Predator 2: Sex scene was highly unnessisary, the pred vision with his helmet off was diffrent from first movie, the predator saying a bunch of swear words, was cheezy. (not that I mind them)  and king willie was a dumb character.  dont get me wrong these are all great movies (except AR) but they all have little things wrong with them, and AVP will be no diffrent, but it still will rock.

well aliminator, i suggest either the traditional "buy a ticket for a disney movie and walk into the other one" or shell out the money for a fake id...im sure it'd be worth it

Well for predator 2 they just wanted to show that the pred wouldnt kill the helpless women.  I guess the only thing a slut would do in a drug lord? would be to have sex.  movie is bad altogether anyway.. even the speacial effects were worse then pred 1.

Judging from Paul's past movies he has made. None of them really made me what to see them over and over again. Such as Resident Evil and Event Horizon. Those movies I would maybe watch once or twice in the theater and maybe buy the DVD if I was bored enough one night. So I would not expect this movie to be as great as I want it to be. Sometimes all you have to do to determine the future is look at the past.

So far the ONLY disappointment in AVP for me so far is the Predator hair.  Personally i don't think it looks good THAT long.  I liked the original Pred 1.  But hey, maybe they just wear their hair different like we all do.

Resident evil was definatley a memorable movie, so was soldier, this will be pauls finest,  I dont care wat you say. but looking at the past has nothing to do with the future.  the director of Hellboy had made only avarage movies. but when when hellboy came out it kicked ass.  AVP will be the same way.

And If you read the comics, the preds have tons of diffrent hair styles, one cut it really short, and another even bonded them into a ponytail, that was pretty cool looking especally since it was a girl pred. but year, the mid sized predator has long hair, and the big pred has short hair. lets hope paul is still holding some secrets from us such as a predalien or female pred.  dont say that just because they havent said anything about it that it is not possible.  no one new about the newborn in AR (though lets hope that the surprise is not nearly that bad)

Predator 2 was cool, but your right, they could have worked harder on the special effects, the plasma fire diddnt look half as good as it did in the first one.

OK AvP fans!!  it's very interesting to see all kinds of points of view here, so, let me share some thoughts, I think of Sci-Fi/Horror movies as a very complex genre, you have the Excellent movies (like the Original Starwars, Lord of the Rings, Matrix, the Exorcist) the Great movies (such as Alien, Predator, Terminator) the Ok movies, fun to watch (Resident Evil, Nightmare on Elm Street, Underworld, Friday the 13th), the crappy but fun (Army of Darkness, Guyver,Pumpkinhead) and the very bad ones...but sometimes cult classics (like the Toxic avenger...hehe) Any way my guess is that AvP will be somewhere in between OK and Great, I don't expect more because for that you'd have to get Cameron or Scott for Director, Giger and Winston for creature design, excellen t writers, a 200 million budget and at least one big star on a leading role, Personally I like Resident Evil and Event Horizon as a different approach of Sci Fi/Horror fun watching movies, so it doesn't matter if the Predator is a little different from the original, I'm not so sure about the Alien but I'm sure I'm gonna watch this movie many times, just because it's one of my favorite franchises, just like Freddy vs. Jason, it was a lot of fun to watch, just sit back and enjoy the ride!! If you feel it's gonna suck, don't watch it!! but I'm sure EVERYBODY, even those who make bad comments will end up watching it at least twice!! hehe, and wait when the DVD comes out!! I just hope this becomes such a hit that FOX  move forward to produce Alien 5 and Predator 3....we can just hope!!

Dude man, screw alien 5 or predator three (well mabey not pred three) BUT SCREW ALIEN 5! the series ended badly enough already.  insted start a new franchise: AVP and make a trilogy. the perfect triolgy of trilogys.  AVP Trilogy Alien trilogy (no including Alien 4, STUPID FRENCH!) Predator trilogy  That is all i ask  And dude! it dosent have to be ridley or cameron or giger or winston to be good, the movie alien rez sucked but the queen robot that you saw for a short time was better then the aliens one.  and giger is cool but is unnessary, he diddnt help in aliens and that one turned out great.  PAUL WILL MAKE THIS INTO A MASTERPIECE, YOU WILL SEE!!!!!!!!!  The best Alien or Predator movie yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!

i agree mostly with your last post Adam. alien saga is dead. it cant be "resurected" twice. predator 3 i could go for. i could really go for one that is set in like say iraq with us soldiers or afghanistan or something over the proposed P3 premises.  and i agree that AvP doesnt need ridley,cameron, giger or winston for great  direction,story and sfx. but paul anderson's story is so bad, and i dont like his direction style. this is a looks so far to be a hack job of what could have been a smooth and believable merge of 2 great series._________Post edited by DarknessYou've caused enough trouble today. The director of Hellboy Gurmo Del Toro made Blade 2 which made a lot of money and was way above just an average movie. Also Residnet evil and Soldier are good movies, but could have been way better especially Resident Evil. All in all one can not fully judge this movie until you see it.
