Sadly, it's another one of those "read and forget" Titan Alien novels. It didn't hurt me during reading, but I wasn't thrilled at any moment and probably I won't remember much from it soon. It's unfortunate, because it introduces some interesting ideas, but barely explores them. Also Aliens have almost nothing to do in it. And I even would like some novels without Xenomorphs, but they are present here, they just seems unimportant and they don't have any real agency. Honestly, I would prefer that they weren't in the story at all, maybe then there would be time to explore some other plot points further. Like Chris' growing affection for android. Being in mourning after loss of his wife, but noticing that his android nanny is new mother figure for his daughters and developing feelings for her, was really fascinating, just as Alexia's point of view and her developing emotions, but it wasn't explored enough and ended in the most interesting moment for them. Also father trying to abandon his violent past to take care of his daughters, people trying to break from USM and build themselves an utopia set on rotten and violent fundation, sorry state of Earth, events taking place after Resurrection. The ideas were here, but none of them was developed properly and they just don't have time to breathe. Instead, we got two od Aliens running and killing and eating couple od people, useless point of view of some Marines that came on the colony to just die, and too many brawls between Chris and basicly everyone who looked on him the wrong way. I'm starting to think, that we won't get any true banger from Titan anymore. Maybe they should bring Alex White back...
