Well, for me, I've seen too many movies, even Marvel films, start filming and then release within 12 months of that date, to exclude June 2022. (And Marvel films require a lot more post work!)

But why I'm personally not betting on June is Predator isn't really a Summer tentpole franchise. However if they keep it under the "Skulls" moniker... hmm... I guess stranger things have happened.

Can't see it being December and January is usually a dumping ground for films (sometimes a few gems though) or Oscar bait.

And who says Skulls won't be Oscar bait?!  ;D

And the Best Director Award goes to....

Dan Trachtenberg, SKULLS!

If anything should be a Summer franchise it's f**king Predator I mean c'mon now.

I wish! But as things go, Predator is just not big enough to drop theatrically in June. If anything, August would be its Summer month I think.

Probably because they don't have big action stars like Arnold attached to it. The first movie came out in june, they trusted Arnold to sold it as the big thrilling action summer flick it was.

Indeed. Quite a different time. Arnold was such a superstar back then. Back when, you wouldn't say "Have you seen the latest Marvel movie?" Back then it was "Have you seen the latest Schwarzenegger movie? Stallone movie? Eastwood film?" It was so star driven back then...

My prediction: marketing will start around the release of Bob's Burgers on May 27th.

Hopefully marketing for Prey starts after No Exit (2.25.22) and Deep Water (3.18.22) are released on Hulu for 20th Century Studios

Once Prey's trailer hits, I think I'm going to pace myself and only watch it 5,000 times.  ;D
