I don't care what anyone says, I love my baby Alien.
But in my opinion it's the form after the Chestburster, without designation.

I do think that might be the implication. It emerges as the almost snakelike chestburster before that skin splits and it's the miniature Alien. I think ADF's take on it being an accelerated life cycle is pretty on point.
