If anybody wants any specific screen caps from the Alien movies/DVDs, this is the thread to request them.

Anyway, I'm looking for screencaps of the alien crabwalk deleted scene from Alien. I can't find it anywhere on the net, so I would be much appreciative.

... and after that, could you get me a shot of the Queen Chestburster from Alien3? Cheers  ;)

The chestburster in Aliens would be cool.

If someone gets around to it, could someone post one picture of an Alien facing the camera, about to strike, from each Alien movie (including AvP)? I know there is a shot like this from every Alien movie (at least 3 in Aliens alone). I'd just like to see how the Alien's face evolved in each film.

I have another theory for that: the 'cocktail' Clemens was injecting her periodically was delaying her gestation...It was probably days between her 'crash' and her death, I think...

Remember, it was said that the sun would only come up in '_ days' so that was the time frame for the movie, I think...  ;)

Damn..  I gotta agree with SiL on this one - the alien gradually lost all the biomechanical detail.  You can see it clearly in these pics.  :(

You know that scene in "Aliens" when the aliens are climbing through the ceiling to get into the room to attack Ripley and Co. Bill Paxton is screaming about the motion tracker, then Ripley realizes their coming through the ceiling.

Could you get that shot when they shine the flashlight through the ceiling, and you see all thoes Aliens crawling through.

.from AvP where Grid has Chopper impaled on his (ridiculously huge) tail.
.from Alien where the alien appears in the alcove, crouched with its mouth open and arms outstretched, preparing to kill the captain (Forgetting his name)
.from Alien 3 the scene where the dog alien leaps from the boiling lead. A mid-leap shot if possible without too much blurring.

Impaled upon an I-beam. A pretty cheap way of not even needing to use Bein's face.

Bein threatened to sue the guys who made alien 3 for using just a cast of his face without his permission.

...and ended up being paid as much for the use of his photo in Alien 3 as he did for his acting in Aliens.

 Does anyone have pictures of the queen from Alien Resurrection in multiple views and if so could you please post them, thanks.

I think the design that ended up in the movie is just plain stupid, with the external womb. The one you can see in the storyboards looks pretty cool. The goal was to make the Queen a bit more human; in a creepy way. Jean-Pierre's version just made me wanna puke.

 Thank you Revengers for the screen captures.But I do agree that it was an odd concept.

I'm fine with the concept, and even okay with the newborn design. I just hate this design for the Queen's womb.

I wanna see a still shot of Parkers death.  I can't tell if the alien is biting him in the face or chest/torso region.  Also a shot of Bretts death. 

I might be able to scrounge up some Parker/Brett death scenes.

Far as I know, Bone Crusher, the only aliens who have the skull under the transparent dome are Giger's original and Chet. Don't know why, but ADI never favored the skull-under-the-dome concept.

Found this gruesome pic of Hicks in Alien 3. I wish they never killed off him and newt. I think the facehugger should have just trigured off Ripleys pod then it would be just a case of her finding them again.

You do know that it's probably because they did not want to put the effort into getting Biehn and henn back, right?

It's not a matter of "effort" it was creative direction.  Newt and Hicks were in the Anchorpoint script, where Hicks starred and Newt was sent back to Earth early on, as they weren't sure if Weaver would come back.  When Ward came on board, Ripley was back in and Hix n Noot were ditched.

I still think they dropped the ball with that, no matter how much I adore Alien 3. If you were going to kill her, at least do it a couple more movies down the line. Or have her defeat the aliens "once and for all" in an epic third film. That was just way too sudden.

Few movies down the line? What else was there to tell? The movie could've ended fine with Aliens, anything after that was just milking it. Alien 3 was the equivalent of turning off the lights after everyone had left; anything after that was getting beyond greedy and into outright stupid. The series never needed to be long, nor did it need to end with an explosive finale.

Hi guys, Does anyone have any hi-res pics of the queen's face from Aliens. I only have a few photos of the bust but she looks thinner in the face than she does in the movie, Especially her jaw. I'm working with my tattoo artist on a shoulder piece and her face is the focal point so I need to get it right the first (and only) time. ;)

A long time ago I capped almost every Alien appearence in Aliens, Alien3 and Alien: Resurrection. I actually ended up uploading to PB Resurrection for first, and never gonna get through such nightmare again. :\ Had to re-order all the shots because the silly site screwed them up.

Once I get the Blu-Ray versions of the Saga I plan on making a gallery like that for all four Alien films, in HD this time.
Every scene featuring the titular creatures will be appropriately screenshot'd. Now that I know how take caps directly and not use the longer [stamp r sist + paint + resize], those shots will be even better. In Blu-Ray quality mind you, gonna be awesome.

every vdeo player has a still function. if you can't find it, put it on Fullscreen, press "impr pant"(next to F12), then open MS Paint or any image editor, use the select tool, and click "paste" and save it on original size as a .jpg(bitmap files tend to loose quality).

Kane holds one in the egg chamber. Pretty sure it shows up somewhere else too, but I couldn't tell you the scene off the top of my head.

Those guns in the promo shot are the same as the one in the movie, though.

That promo shoot always just looked like a parody of pulp science fiction media to me; not to be taken seriously.

Hi can someone do a screen cap of Clemens red tinted boots when he standing in the infirmary, i think you get close up just a few minuted before alien pops out of the air duct, cheers im just trying to see what kind they were to see if i can obtain any myself, also my dvd copy of Alien 3 was sold in a car-boot (cheers dad), thats why i cant do it myself.

air pressure. it shoots bolts or something. at least that's what i remember reading somewhere.

it's built from a WW2 M-3 grease gun, you can see the mag well covered by the lasercutter there. the grip is moved foward and the muzzle is a mockup, but it's pretty clearly made from one, or at least to resemble it, look:

Yeah, clearly made from it.
Seems like you would load bolts in through the back considering they added that thing at the end that seems to twist off.
So it's basically a weaponized nail gun. I like it.

I remember reading it was a laser weapon, or something like that.

the tip of the thing mounted under it is similar to the laser cutter they tried to cut the facehugger with.

If they had lasers available to space truckers then why did the Armed forces have caseless rounds and bullets?
Unless it's a very weak laser.

I'm guessing it just wasn't practical for military use. Maybe it was very fragile, broke down easily, things like that.

I thought most of the scopes and guns in starwars were real  with slitr modifications. I think there is a scine were you can see a blank falling out.

Thanks. I had a look on youtube, found one scene of the stunt stand-in being swiped into the wall and the alien pouncing on him but can't find the other scene of Parker being lifted up to the ceiling.

The image in question is the very first frame in the shot of the city that directly follows Holden getting 'aired-out' by Leon. 1920x1080 resolution is what I'm after, and in .png format.

Are you referring to Ripleys white suit at the end?  If so it was Lamberts suit just painted white & the helmet lamp removed.

The white suit itself must have been new, the blue suit ended up appearing as a costume in a porn shoot for Fiesta magazine in 1985, (weird in itself as most stuff from was supposed to have been destroyed to stop in cropping up in other sci fi - an indignity that befell Outland when those suits ended up in Morons From Outer Space). So I'm guessing just the helmet and backpack were repainted from the Lambert suit.

Can anyone with the  A    L    I    E    N  blu-ray do a frame grab of the Ripley and Lambert side by side in the corridor immediately after Ash burns? Most in focus frame of the first five frames of that shot if possible. I don't seem to be able to do t from the DVD - I get an empty frame.

Hi new here, been lurking for a while just been slowly working my way through the many posts on the forum, some great screengrabs in this section.

Hope you don't mind me filling in some details regarding the white space suit worn by Ripley on board the Narcissus? This was actually a different design to the surface suits worn by Dallas, Kane and Lambert, these comprised of a short jacket with velcro closures and padded pants, where as the white suit was a one piece zip up jumpsuit with lacing panels on the back like Ripleys G-4B flightsuit. It also has markedly different criss crossed stitching on the cricket style shin pads as oppose to the surface suits vertical quilting!

It was indeed Lamberts helmet sprayed white with the lamp removed along with her shoulder harness, chest armour and gloves, the life support backpack was one of the ones used for the kids spacesuits also sprayed white, this was what Ridley was referring to when he said we just sprayed them white, he was referring to the hard parts and not the actual suit! easy mistake to make.

The original white suit is on display at Planet Hollywood in Vegas, the intricate quilting and lacing can be seen on the back and on the legs and arms, the helmet on display with the suit is the one seen at the start of Aliens when the salvage team enter the Narcissus (this incorrectly has the lamp on top) and has no interior detailing, the shoulder and chest armour are also wrong! looking like they've been cobbled together in a hurry?

Lamberts suit was unfortunately used in a soft core porn mag something and ended up back in Jon Mollos private collection. Of the two adult Kane suits made ( one was used by stuntman Derek Holt ) one resides in Bob Burns collection, the other at the PropStore in London, the suit worn by Dallas is a mystery, it was on display a few years ago at one of the Planet Hollywoods? it is possible Ridley Scott has this in his own collection? As for the kid's space suits, Bob Burns has the Dallas suit in his collection, Ridley Scott has the Kane version and Lamberts is in the Arnaud Grunberg Science Fiction Archives, Bob also has the original white Ripley helmet.

Hope that clears up the whereabouts of the various screen used space suits.

Does anyone here have a picture of one of the cocoons from Alien.  It's not an actual shot used in the filming, but one just done of the set, or possibly for promotion.  It's in black and white, and just shows a cocooned person glued to a corner.  The individual is so wrapped up or transformed that it's impossible to make out physical features.

Your other requests are pretty much infeasible.  Too much motion blur in those scenes to be of any use.  Even on the Blu-ray.

Can someone get some screenshots (from either cut of the film) of the commandos in Alien 3?

Not really to do with the films, but could anyone get me screenshots of the title screens for the four Lauzirika Alien documentaries from the Blu-rays? The titles are done differently on the Blu-ray versions (they're styled after the Blu-ray menus) but I can only capture from DVD on my equipment.

Also, if someone wouldn't mind helping with this, a shot of the same from The Furious Gods would be greatly appreciated too.

And its really a skill in editing. Anthology extras show some of that footage uncut and the puppeteering looks absolutely terrible, fake shaky and flaky. Its amazing they found usable shots/frames but those they found and the way they edited it really work

when ripley says 'micro changes in air pressure - my ass' she enters a room and then comes out goes into the room where jonesy is inside the locker. in the room where she goes  first there is a device that looks like the thing they send  through the Stargate in Stargate that sends info back about the atmosphere temperature etc.  i am i remembering correctly?

Sounds like they are pulling a Photo Bucket that will leave half the internet broken again.

Hoping @Corporal Hicks will find time to upload all the "best of" images to the AVPG server so that they are not lost like tears in the rain.

For flip's sake. If folk want to create a back-up to provide me, we can look at something.

Darkness might be able to find a program that can automatically upload all images in a given thread to the AVPG server.

Think it would be too much work to do manually.
