Among their “fall movie preview“, Entertainment Weekly has released a brand new still from The Predator, giving us an up close and personal look at Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc.’s new Predator costume!
This still would appear to be in the Stargazer Base after the Fugutive Predator breaks loose as seen in the trailer. Thanks to Whos_Nick for the tip.

hmm. I'm getting female predator vibe off this...
lol jk
What an arousing picture.
Studio ADI have redeemed themselves after the AVP films
Still feels incredibly soft when it comes to general shapes, but texture, fleshiness and finish are spot on.
That boy looks the shit 👍
Best predator, in my opinion, since the second movie.
Just needs some K Y jelly.
Spot on mate!
Also, no need for that floppy looking flap of skin connecting the lower mandible to the chin. Jungle hunter didn't have it and it cheapens the overall look of this great looking Pred.
Looks great, I do hope they give it a bit of a water spray tho before shooting, Looks a little bit dry.
Design is uninspired, it's ok to give him somewhat of a different look... the flesh itself does look quite natural. Don't care for the dreads and the lack of ornaments on them.

Jungle hunter did have that skin connection and CIty Hunter had it too, it's just wasn't as flappy, that I agree. I agree the flappy skind doesn't look so good, but I hope on the screen it wouldn't be noticed.
I do believe he is going to be wet on the screen, and also I really loving that texture on the Dreadlocks ;)
Just look at fugitive's right arm in the trailer when he is facing the upgrade, and you'll see that his skin is wet, so don't worry about that.
♡ guapo
I like the red and brown variegated coloring that's going on, especially in the bicep and temples. The detail is great - can't wait to see it in action! But where's his neck? ??? I've noticed in other screen shots that the pecs look kind of far up the torso... otherwise it's looking pretty amazing :)
It isn't properly lighted but it still looks great.
Not perfect, but great work by ADI.
Very impressed.
That's a great looking Predator.
Third time's the charm for ADI ;D
C-G- "eye"?
ADI does what the director tells them to, so don't jump all over them to much

1000% agree. its looking too matte
Needs more moisture.
Alittle overcooked I'd say. Poor guy is all dried out and sunbyeernd.
Everyone keeps telling ADI to moisturize and they just don't want to!
Damn, this looks cool. I just hope he's not the only "fugitive" Predator design in the movie, since we know what happens to one of them :/
I'm aware they scrapped the friendly Preds, but I still feel that there may be more, since we see several (or at least 2) different masks with the same design in the trailers.
Insert standard mandible comment - here
Apart from that , looks pretty good.
iugh
Then again, fugitive's right arm is moist in the trailer when facing up the upgrade/assassin
Looks horrible.
Like a plastic/rubber fan airbrushed costume.
Looks like a Predator to me, I'm good with it. I think the dreads could be a little better, but it's not that big a deal.
Spoiler
be a shame if something to were to happen to his head though...
Proper lighting, finished details in finished film, etc etc etc etc etc
Yeah I think it's the lighting because there is a sheen to Captured's skin in the trailers (and Upgrade's).
Loving the vein details inside the mandibles. There's still some sheen to it but yeah, on-set photography isn't really taken with consideration to how the actual on-screen photography is gonna look but I genuinely really love this still!
A few days late to this thread since I was on vacation but I love him, I think he looks great, I love the eyes and expression. I still dislike the textured dreads but as far as the face goes, I'm a fan.
I'm still debating on the dreads. A part of me likes the it, but at the same time the texture makes it look too much like actual hair. I'm thinking this may be secondary to some genetic altering (since if I remember correctly he's supposed to be beefed up to a certain extent) and not the "new look".
I prefer the bumpy but smoother dreads I guess. This seems a bit over designed.

They didn't need redeeming. The director is the one who makes the decisions, and ADI has to follow them. Also because of the small budget, suits from Resurrection had to be reused. I'm sure if time and money allowed, they would have built better Alien suits instead.
Looks good!
Actually looks like a Predator instead of the floppy-mouths in AvP. Never understood why people want a carbon copy of the Predator from P1.

haha i guess he was the benchmark. like the Brad Pitt of Predators perhaps? XD everyone seems to want Predators to have that identical P1 head/face design (i can understand why, it's the definitive look that first impressed us), but i'm all for variety and some individuality (just not too much)!
But this is a complete carbon copy of the predator 1... the predators in P2 at least had more subtle changes (face structure and skinpattern wise, longer dreads, ornaments)
It really, really isn't.

completely disagree with first statement. completely agree with second statement.

Hmmm...compared to the original this one looks too plastic...where is the slimy effect...or was the original sweating lol.

Again, ADi doesn't like to moisturize their Predators for some reason.
I'm mostly ok with this; but the only part that really bothers me, is the brow. Both the jungle and city hunters brows came down over the eyes further, making them look threatening and pissed off. This guy just looks surprised.
Feeds On Minds, well he is probably surprised. He probably got knocked out and just woke up in this strange table with people trying to poke and prod him.
Yep, let's bring back this sci-fi icon near-flawlessly yet again.. and then kick the crap out of it with a bigger "cooler" Predator... again. That's what everyone wants to see, right? Sorry but I do feel there's a bit of an injustice and even cross purposes here with how the series is going.
I like that he doesn't look boiling angry - though I'm sure we'll get some of that too - I figure it's only normal that different individual predators wouldn't have identical demeanors and body language and facial expressions.
Random observation: common seaguls look fierce as f**k, even when they're shitting themselves in fear because of their feathery brow...
Looks like a new shot of Fugitive here.

Full quality.
If I'm being nitpicky, I don't like those odd veins or furrows on his abdomen - but otherwise I really dig his body, and the eyes, both in expressiveness and the color. There have been complaints about him looking too dry but that's definitely not an issue here!
Nice and wet... and the crowd goes silent!
Indeed. I think we'll be getting our moisture.
I'll say it. Mouth is opened in all shots avaliable. Doest this predator close his mouth or is he in Classic mode?
Mandibles hanging open like a mongaloid from the AVP movies. Is it really that hard for ADI to get the mandibles to close another inch or so? Or just TELL them to close its f**king mouth?

Yep, I'm liking everything despite the weird stuff going on with his abdomen/pecs and short torso/neck. Extra moisture gets an "outstanding" in my book ;)

Predator did close his mouth in AvP, mandibles were placed differently so they didn't closed as in P1 and P2. Always opened face was in Predators but efects in this one were made by KNB effects.
It's definitely the best effort Post P2. No doubt.

Notice the damaged part of his armour on his left breast.
Also, check the pattern of the armour (especially on his legs). It represents the net.
That predator does look great, lets hope the film and perfomance of the characters is just as good.
It looks great, just don't feel the need to make it look modern.
The dreads are terrible.
Im a big fan of the dreads. Far superior to the dreads in the avp films especially. Also I like the detail.
I prefer the dredlocks to have texture, passing them off as anything other than hair was always hard to believe.
The dreads look awesome.

Actually Fugitive does have the nets in the movie.

I really like that. Another small adaptation to make him deadlier. The prequel novel had a character be injured by a mandible too.
