I wonder if they do add a simple horde GameType, since it's all the rage atm. (Doom)

Would be nice to hold out on corridors, like the Aliens movie, with increasing difficulty in alien types. Hell an "endless" mode would be great imo.

Also to have a quick game and not play the entire campaign every time. Us dads have a life etc lol.

I'd say there's a high likelihood of that. World War Z, which seems pretty comparable to this in many ways, has a "Horde" mode like that on unique arena maps. If not featured on launch it would be an obvious choice for one of the "season" drops revealed to be coming down the line. We're still yet to hear exactly how the challenge card modifiers work too, but I'd imagine that's going to be more pick-up-and-play in nature than the main campaign missions.

I would like to see some sort of competitive outlast arcade mode, where you're not working together but rather simply trying to win by being the last marine to survive in the room.

YEEEAAASSS!   I want to feel like Hudson.

Nice try.

But I see Aliens Colonial Marines as falling under the Alien intellectual property specifically.

The Predator as under the Predator intellectual property.

And Requiem as under the AVP intellectual property.

All in their own unique corners. 😜

Nothing's more reprehensible to me that's under this intellectual property but I do not want you to stop having fun.

Wait, there's something you find worse then AvP Requiem? You're slowly coming around!  ;D

If only Cold Iron could have been a little quicker with this game, they could have timed it / ridden the momentum of Aliens' 35th Anniversary. Missed Opportunity for sure.

Imagine, afraid of spoilers in multiplayer game. lol. Don't want to see a spoilers? Don't read the news. But there is a people, really many people who like spoilers. Really dude, I'm not support this ridiculous spoiler-hysterical culture anyway.

Any secret of this game will be shown immediately after AFE release and many people who themselves want to explore the secrets of the game will be buried under avalanche of spoilers.

This isn't a multiplayer game, like Predator: Hunting Grounds or Left 4 Dead. Yes, the co-op component is one of the key features and selling-points, but otherwise it's a campaign-driven shooter. I'm not too fussed about spoilers in the sense of plot twists etc, but if we reach a point where we have so much information on a title that a wiki page could be completed before it's even released, what's the point of even playing it? A big part of why we read books, watch movies, and play games is the process of discovery - being there in the moment as the story unfurls.

If that isn't the experience you want, you can wait until after release, watch a full game play-through, and then decide if it's something you want to buy. I won't have to worry about major spoilers as I've already pre-ordered the game and will be experiencing it first-hand on release day.

Gears 5 is still alive thanks to crossplay...

It's a more powerfull tool then you would think. BUT... if it's too difficult to implement retroactive then I can sorta live with that.

What I can't live with is this god-awful media silence. I want pics, I want campaign details and xeno info. It's driving me nuts!

I'm getting quite annoyed that we basically have zero info, bare bones stuff. This is sad, are we sure the game comes out in less then two months? Or is there so little of a story there that they can't afford to show any of it?

Seems there's no pleasing people. We've been told the setup in some detail, and had a good look at multiple enemies, classes, and weapons. The latest trailer also features a lot of elements that drop major hints at what happens throughout the story, not to mention the achievements list. Anything more than that I'd start to regard as spoilers, at which point people would start to complain that there's nothing left to discover.

People need to remember that anticipation and that desire to know more are GOOD things. Patience is a virtue, and delayed gratification is the pay-off.

Well said.

Yes a fairly recent example of that philosophy.

Nothing's more reprehensible to me that's under this intellectual property but I do not want you to stop having fun.

But crossplay never really existed during that generation, it's only a fairly recent phenomenon spearhead mostly by Microsoft, and the idea of implementing it retroactively's simply a monumental task not worth the effort the results bring.
