Concept art alway's lets your brain run wild with imagination more so than the final product.

Some great stuff here.

If there was one thing I really loved about the movie it was the jockey (engineers).

While I think the art is actually good, I agree that he looks meh compared to the final version we got in the film

I think a lot of the giger inspired stuff concept art is bad fan art actually.
Especially the Steve Messing stuff...
That cgi Engineer by Neville page is ugly.
cgi renders works great for vehicules but i still prefer 2D artwork for concept art.

My thoughts exactly.  It looks far better than the Jockey design in the film.

Because it's cheap to accomplish and requires just one guy who knows what he's doing as opposed to a whole team of people who may or may not know what they are doing attempting to work together under a crushing time limit.

I agree 200% too. Since Alien and Giger's Biomechanics works were not meant to be part of this plan. :'(

I love these concept art threads..... I feel like back in 1980, as the first magazine's came out and showing more and more pictures from Alien and Giger's art.... excellent..

The illustration of the Engineer with its bio-mechanoid skin is fantastic. The movie doesn't show enough of the detailing of the merging of the biological and the mechanical . I always thought it is suit
