Anyone in the UK who's familiar with the show Taskmaster: Well, my missus recently bought the home game version. I was utterly convinced was going to be gash, but we played it at new years eve and maybe it's just because everyone had had a couple of shandies, but it was an absolute riot.

No.  English food is basically meat and vegetables thrown into a pot and cooked until it reaches a uniform grey color.  As soon as it looks completely bland and unappetizing, that's when it's ready to eat.
