North Korean Defectors

-Very rarely did the defectors escape via the DMZ in between the two Koreas because the North Korean side is heavily guarded by North Korean soldiers and the DMZ is a minefield. A great majority of them escaped via China.

-Park Yeonmi is one of the very few of the North Korean defectors who speaks in English on YouTube.

The North Korean government chose Kim Seo-ah to work at a North Korean restaurant in Cambodia. She met her South Korean customer there. He convinced her to escape the restaurant with him. They went upstairs and sneaked to the roof of another building. They are a married couple now. It took some time for them to enter South Korea because South Korea's previous Moon administration appeased North Korea and prohibited her from entering. This administration had a tendency to choose NK's side. It was after the current president from the opposition party won the election that she was able to move to South Korea.

Joo Sung-ha defected to South Korea in 2002. He became a journalist for South Korea's Dong-a Ilbo newspaper. In the video below, he interviewed the above defector. According to her, the overseas North Korean restaurants began to prohibit filming in late 2014. The dance footage below was filmed before 2014.

유미카
Yumi started her used car business in South Korea after she defected. She interviews other defectors in her channel.

Kang Chol-hwan escaped a North Korean concentration camp in 1992 and defected to South Korea. He became a Chosun Ilbo journalist in South Korea. He wrote 'The Aquariums of Pyongyang.'

태영호TV
Thae Yong-ho was North Korea's deputy ambassador to the UK. He defected to South Korea in 2016. He is now a politician as a member of the current president's party.

강명도TV-자유조선
Kang Myong-do is a distant relative of the North Korean leader. He defected to South Korea in 1994. He became a professor in South Korea. He stopped working as a professor during the Moon administration. I think the Moon administration wanted him to stop teaching the students about the reality of North Korea.
In 2015, he revealed on CNN that

QuoteNorth Korean spies are operating in countries across the world including the United States, where he estimates hundreds may be working at any one time. One of their main purposes is to try to recruit Korean-Americans who lean towards supporting North Korea, he said.

"There are three different tactics they use," he said. "First is to give them free visas to North Korea, second, to give them access to do business and make money there and third, they use women to entice them. This tactic has been widely used since the '80s."

Kang said he used to work in the Unification Development Division in 1984. One of the duties of this division was to send spies to the U.S., South Korea and Japan, he said, adding that the division still exists to this day.
He also was in a South Korean tv show in which the NK defectors talked about North Korea. This show had stopped during the time of the Moon administration and continued under the current administration. Kang owns a restaurant now.
In the YouTube image below, the woman on the left is the former president of South Korea. We all know who the guy on the right is. Shortly after she won the election, North Korea tested their missile. North Korean radio berated her. Her administration never appeased the NK regime.

Voice of North Korea by Yeonmi Park
She is the most famous NK defector outside of Korea. When she lived in South Korea, she was the commentator for a South Korean radio station that tried to inform the North Koreans on the reality of the outside world including South Korea. She wrote 'In Order to Live.'

She also appeared in the same tv show as Kang Myong-do. This is the tv show in which the defectors talked about North Korea. At that time, she called herself Ye-ju instead of Yeonmi:

She became disillusioned with South Korea during the Moon administration and moved to the US.

There are many more North Korean defectors on YouTube.

Papa Meat is hilarious!

WARNING! He uses expletives, sexual references,  and creates his own art that would make Lovecraft laugh (disturbing). XD

Just stumbled upon this awesome forum and couldn't resist joining in on the fun. So, I've been on a Markiplier binge too – that guy's a riot!  Recently, I got hooked on this gem called Lethal Company, thanks to Mark's recommendations. The banter and hilarious content are just what I needed! Anyway, speaking of YouTube, have you guys ever dived into the realm of youtube automation? It's this wild concept where you streamline your content creation process. The idea of making YouTube a bit more, well, automated is intriguing, right? Wondering if anyone else has dipped their toes into this world or has thoughts about it.

Don't forget to watch his parts 1 and 2 as well.

Corridor Crew are good but often seem to prioritise clicks over anything else.
