Hello guys,
Im am mapper and have made several maps in warcraft; and now im currently making avp-extinction multiplayer/skirmish map.
My goal is to get as close a possibly to the game; as for the models and effects(the Hive, the evolving, attacks) i can assure you look pretty good and are like in the game(with small diferences)
But i've got a problem, no GameFAQ tells me how much damage a unit inflicts on a target and how fast.(I need a number, like every 1.2 sec.)
And im pretty sure that "Medium Raw Damage" does a different damage to "Medium Kinetic Armor" than to "Heavy Acid Armor".I need prozentuals for that.Means: Medium raw attack may inflict 100% damage too Medium kinetic armour but only 75% to Heavy acid armour.Normal warcraft is made like this.I need numbers.
Im open to new features as well, which would mean i could make a avp-extinction 2.
P.s: The game will really become like extinction and not as crappy as other avp wc3 maps.

This is the mod/map for warcraft 3 The Frozen Throne.
It shows the Alien lifecycle.
Icons and terrain etc. is not yet ready.The Marines and Predators arent ready as well.
Very, very, VERY nice. I was looking at these vids a while back, as a concept for Extinction 2. Now I know what is goign on, I get it now.
So, how does this work? I have never played Warcraft, so I have no idea.

It's an RTS (real time strategy) game where instead of normal shooter games or rpgs you control a giant mass of units. People that play it online sometimes create custom maps for others to download and play with other people.
It's similar to Halo Wars or AvP: Extinction.

The first one came out 94.
Warcraft 3 came out in 2002, but the expansion pack Frozen Throne (which is what most of the people play) came out 2003.
To go online you load up the game and start up the main menu, and I believe it said Multiplayer or Blizzard Online or something, I haven't played it in a year. You then connect to an online lobby that is divided by channels, you can either create a custom channel or join an official channel that is already there. You then go to "Find Games" I think, or you can host your own game. It will load up games, and you can select which one you want to join.
The AvP map would be listed with the other games if someone was hosting it, or you host it yourself and wait for others to join.
Sounds cool. I will have to look it over.
If this has a two-player function, then this may be a new LAN game like the other Warcraft 3 mods (Pokemon, Tower Defense and so on...).
I thought this had died months ago, nice to see there's some activity in here again.
the guy who made this said on youtube that the mod is ready for beta testing.
