Just saw a new TV Spot on HistoryHD. It is a short spot with a few new clips. Mainly showing the engineer coming out of the sarcophagus. The awesomely creepy thing is "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" is being played on a xylophone the whole spot. It gave me chills!

That's obviously a subconscious trick to lower your expectations. The same tune was used to market Alien: Resurrection! :D
What show did it air with? Usually History repeats the same loop of shows each day.
Ice Road Truckers........which I wasn't watching haha my kid loves the Trucks. Actually its really cool. He is 4 and his favorite shows are American Pickers and Pawn Stars. I know it was a joke but it didn't lower my expectations. It got me even more excited.
Anyone else catch it?!
Been watching the channel since...hasn't aired again so far. 5:50pm est.
Was it Dead Space's rendition of the song?

Ooh, I was hoping someone would do the DS rendition of that song and place it against some footage. Nice to see it works well as I thought it would!
I'd have mixed in a few audio cuts amidst the breaks in verse, though.

No it was just the musical notes not words. Sounded like a childs bedtime music box. Very slow and creepy with the visuals. I haven't seen it again. It was really cool
Just saw one at 7:22pm on historyhd, plays twinkle tones and shows the sj helmet splitting apart with a glimpse of the SJ face underneath but no sarcophagus scene, maybe 2 cuts?.
Any chance you can upload it? Thanks.
I want to say that they did the same thing with not only ALIEN:Res, but also ALIEN3 and ALIENS.

Yea no I just seen this one on SyFy channel watching Aliens which I recorded last night. Not the same one. This one has the sarcophagus and has the twinkle twinkle song. So damn creepy I want to see it again.
Oh wait you said it had the same jingle. That's weird I just seen a spot with the helmet opening up tha just had Shaw screaming something like "pick up transmission!" Through the whole thing. They are really mixing it up here in the US. I'm loving it!! Haha This movie is gonna be tits. Little kitten tits

2nd trailer has a shit not in the film, the engineer chasing shaw through the life boat! Really wish they'd kept that in

I didn't see that in the clip posted? :(
yea they have quite a few different versions. The one I seen had the Sarcoph opening up and had Shaw screaming for someone to pick up the transmission. It was quite a bit creepier. But thanks Darkness!

I havent seen that one. I wonder if someone was reading the forums cause that dead space add had been talked about a few times on here months ago.
I thought it was a bad idea. The toybox thing reeks of shitty survival horror games to me. Though, I like the second one with the alien swell super reverbed after Vickers speakers. That was a nice touch.
Is the engineer chase through the ship really not in the movie?
I saw this TV spot on "FX" earlier today. Just happened to catch it as I was flipping channels, lol.

It seems that it is missing for the most part. Which seriously sucks if true.
That spot really gave me chills. It brought to mind, to me, a parallel of Ripley's singing "You Are My Lucky Star" immediately.
I think that may be what they were going for. I didn't even remember the use of the song in the Alien Resurrection trailer until it was mentioned.
I wonder if they wanted to use Lucky Star but couldn't get the rights.
Another fan made tv spot:

Why are the soundbites so aweful?
Janik " How many are [there]" Who said "there" that sounded like it was generated by a text to speech generator. Terrible.

Ridley stated he cut the final battle scene (shaw w/axe vs SJ) because it diminished his god like status, which honestly is a BS answer/reason. The hologram sequences show the SJs as human-like and fallible, the SJ coughing and losing his step as he awakes shows that he is human-like and vulnerable, and his reaction to the humans shows anger and vengeance, which is another human quality. How would "losing" a fight with a woman wielding an axe, fighting for her life, diminish the SJ anymore than the movie has previously established?
Hell hath no Fury like a woman scorned.
In my opinion, the way the SJ was depicted as a whole already diminishes any God like expectations one may have of him.
I really dont know what to make of Rdiley after seeing his recent interviews. Is he an artist? Is he a corporate shill? Is he senile? He clearly isnt all there and his answers seem scripted or spur of the moment placatings.
Perhaps he is just as cryptic as the characters in this film.
