In a sense. But it walks through each level in a story sense rather than telling you what to do or where to go.

Any expansion on deleted scenes.
I always found the original story for isolation more interesting than what we got.

Early on in the book, the author states his intent is to make it an equivalent of those old "companion" books you could get for TV shows back in the 90s/00s. It's very much more inline with the Stargate ones I've read than an actual walkthrough.

I've got about 20/30 pages left to go and I've about finished the recapping of the missions which is sandwiched in the middle, but it's certainly hitting that objective.

No, it was a crowdfunded endeavour through Unbound. I think it's a book specific crowdfunding platform.

Finished it last night. Enjoyable but I had hoped for a bit more in the cut content section.
The mission guide was good and was more entertaining to read than anything the novelisation did.

Very much enjoying this so far. My favourite anecdote has to be Ricardo planning to be facehugged earlier in the game to later chestburst, only for CA to drop the idea because it disrespected the Alien life cycle as the gestation period would be too quick...
