I don't think we're going to get too much news about it, but anyway.

You dirty tease!
With the promo of Gucci and The Last Duel, we're sure to have some new things about it.
Yeah, hope someone brings it up when interviewing him. Been a while since we got an indecipherable quote from Sir Riddles.
Maybe the Engineers will wear historically inaccurate helmets like those in The Last Duel.
:P

I thought they already did in Prometheus?
I really like the Engineer helmet design as their own thing myself.
When's someone gonna berate Ridley Scott about making this happen?
It's damn near ten years since Prometheus man, good God.

So do I, but the opening was there and I took my shot.

I always thought the Space Jockey was more like a gator horse to be honest..

Happened to see some nature documentary showing a baby elephant.
From certain angles, there was a lot of resemblance. If you can imagine it with a shorter trunk and without the ears.
At a younger age, they also seem to have darker eyes.

STOP f**kING TEASING US, YOU BASTARDS ! WHERE"S MY THIRD PREQUEL, GODDAMMIT !
So, it begins!
How would Weyland show up in a Covenant sequel? I suppose it could only be in flashbacks or pre-recorded video messages, media appearances, etc.
Or - what if Weyland secretly built a synthetic to resemble himself with AI modeled after his own mind?
It would be interesting to see that Peter Weyland has a son and he totally resembles Michael Fassbender. So David was build in the image of Weyland's real son.

Personally I would like that. I want more screen time with the not-so-old Peter Weyland.
Please, no synthetic Weylands. Just let Guy Pearce show up in his human form for another flashback
And no "David was built in the image of Weyland's son". David is son Weyland never had. Period
The ghost of Peter will flying around David laugh at his conceit and attempts to create a life.
- Do you use the fingering to create an organism? I'm disappointment, son.
Since it was pretty much confirmed that David in fact can dream, I would be curious to see whether or not he dreams about his human father
No thanks, let the 'prequels' be forgotten.
I see people saying that all the time, I guess it only shows how they won't be forgotten. :D
You can always retcon prequels. But I doubt they will ever be forgotten
I hope the Prometheus/Covenant sequel happens!
For me, David is the best villain since Ash, so I couldn't agree more. The villain has enough merits to deserve an ending to his arc. In the original film series, the heroine sacrifices herself to stop the Alien once and for all for sake of mankind, and at the same time prevent it from falling into the hands of the company.
That last detail makes you wonder what would be the most appropriate ending for David, who, unlike Ripley, is a villain. 🤔 I definitely need to see that in some way. And I want Ridley to direct it. Otherwise, it wouldn't be the same.

I think I have an open mind for any scenario; whether David remains the creator of Giger's Alien, a shared discovery, the one responsible for the De-extinction of an ancient life form, etc. Furthemore, and as someone already said, I think a comic book / novel wouldn't be enough. It needs to be a movie without a doubt.
Back on topic, I'd love to see Guy Pearce back in flashbacks. Maybe that can reveal twists of David's character, and since the Covenant prologue was so beautifully crafted, that I would be delighted to see more interaction between both characters. 8)
