"Awake, Chaos: We have napped." - E. E. Cummings
@CoalescedChaos and Yutani.blog (http://yutani.blog) are proud to present the Chaos Editions of Prometheus & Alien: Covenant.
These fan edits are brought to you in full HD 1080p and are accompanied by 5.1 surround sound. My intent for the alterations and additions made here are to introduce 30+ minutes of deleted scenes, alternate scenes, bonus content, and marketing virals/ads into the original films in a way which feels professional and seamless, allowing for the ultimate viewing experience of the Alien saga prequels.
A special thank you for those who've been waiting for these to finally be released. Your patience and support has not gone unnoticed. If you'd like to know more information about these projects and the process I went through in creating them, visit this link: https://yutani.blog/2018/05/03/chaos-editions/ (https://yutani.blog/2018/05/03/chaos-editions/)
An extra special thanks to Jimmy Delaroja, who helped make the Chaos Edition of Prometheus a reality by finishing the VFX in multiple deleted scenes and bonus footage.
Below is the link to page where you can find the links for download/streaming. Also, as a surprise, I have links to download multiple special features from both Prometheus' and Covenant's Blu-Rays. If you'd like access to the special features, please PM me.

• Prometheus (Chaos Edition): (One file - 18 GB)
• Alien: Covenant (Chaos Edition): (One file - 18 GB)
*** Please, note that Google Drive and MEGA compress video files to allow streaming via the internet, which produces graininess and pixilation, especially in dark areas of scenes. The quality you see while streaming, regardless of playback resolution, is not reflective of the actual quality of the files you can download from the folders above.
*** I know the files are large. They are not meant to be mobile versions of the films. Rather, they're meant to replace your Blu-Ray copies. If you want smaller versions of them, it's easy enough to compress them yourself.
*** The Chaos Editions are replacing my old 2017 Workprint edition of Prometheus, which I posted here on the forums last year. That thread is now locked and the link is no longer working.
I'm going to set aside dedicated time tomorrow to just start the downloads and go out for a walk or something heh. Looking forward to watching this edit of Covenant!
Nice 1. Downloading just now.
Cant wait to watch :)
So long as only added stuff and not taken stuff out, like Evanus did. Because some of the deleted scenes are good. I still prefer the theatrical cuts though. But if you found a good way of putting them back in the film, congratulations.
The edit of Prometheus was comprehensive and flowed very well, so I have faith that this Covenant edit will be similarly expansive and great :)
I don't find there's a reason to take anything out of either Prometheus or Covenant. Nothing is inherently bad enough in the base films that I think constitutes retractions of content. If I were to ever do a special version of Resurrection, that'd be a whole different story.
However, I did use the alternate CGI Xeno version of Fifield's attack upon the Prometheus because I feel like it works better than Practical Zombie Fifield.
I used the alternate version of Muthur alerting Walter to the Neutrino Burst because I like the hydroponics scene and the back and forth between both A.I.s
I also moved the Bombing Sequence in Covenant so that it happens later in the film as Walter questions David about Elizabeth.
Ooooooo gonna download and watch these later today :D
Thank you. Can't wait to watch!

Those changes aren't good (IMO).
The practical Fifield looks much better than ADHD Gollum.
The bombing scene is best left where it is, because of the location of David/Walter is overlooking the Citadel arena, where the bombing occurred, makes more sense for it to be there (there are other reasons as well).
Must've been a gargantuan job to put these together! Good job, I'll check 'em out once I have some spare time next week.

I agree. We definitely know from the introduction of David in Covenant that he is, in fact a bit broken. But there's still an air of confusion regarding David's motivations when we meet him. When Walter brings up Elizabeth and the dropping of the Accelerent, it only solidifies his departure from servitude. Since Walter brings up Elizabeth dying in the crash, I feel it's fitting to see the sequence play out immediately afterward.

You don't have to do that every time, sometimes the audience can be ahead of the characters.

The audience had been ahead of the characters since David dipped his contaminated finger in Holloway's drink.

Additionally, the mutated Fifield brings a sense of cohesion to the creatures of the film that practical Fifield lacks. It goes from a space zombie attack to another in the line of strange milky white abominations spawned via black goo infection, like the hammerpeed and the trilobite.
I prefer the CGI version as it looks noticeably more related to the Alien than the practical mutant did. Just reinforces the whole accelerant = kinda-xeno creature.
Downloading now. Looking forward to watching later. :)

Same. Kinda wish they finished the sound design on that alternate scene though. Maybe I'll try it out one of these days. Hell, if I have the time and patience, I might try a cut of the movies myself. There's too much crap I want out to improve the experience, for instance, the Scotland scene shouldn't be in at all. You have the exact same scene during the brief in Prometheus. Plus, I get all itchy with Earth scenes on an Alien movie.
Yeah that scene is unnecessary. I think that was added during reshoots.
Cant wait to download both of these :)
Finally have the bandwidth time to sit down and get these onto the computer. Looking forward to watching them :)
I skimmed through covenant and the addition of first half of the crossing begs to have the entire 12 minute sequence to be reinstated. It still baffles me why Fox didn't add that entire sequence as a deleted scene.
Just finished watching the Prometheus cut. Thank you for putting so much effort into the both of these, must have been very time consuming and it is appreciated. It's the best cut of Prometheus I've seen so far.
Only had a couple of minor problems such as using the alternate opening scene with multiple Engineers. Always thought the lone Engineer was more mysterious. Not to mention we can't understand the Elders dialogue so it seemed unnecessary to me to include it, also its weird that the ship takes off leaving those other guys there.
Milburns extended dialogue about his numb fingers was distracting because his accent is completely different, didn't think the dialogue was interesting/important enough to make it worth including.
Lastly I missed the Engineer speaks deleted scene. That's pretty much it though for gripes and that's just down to personal preference.
I did notice my video was stuttering a tiny bit? Was wondering if this is because you exported it at 30fps rather than 24? Only minor again but I didn't think the movement of the video was as smooth as it could have been, not quite sure what the issue was but don't think it was my laptop.
Overall great work, was a completely different experience compared to the other times I'd seen it. Will be watching Covenant later this week. :D
For those who plan to download the Chaos Editions, but haven't yet, I've revoked access to download them because I need to fix an issue some people are having with the films' frame rate.
You can still stream these version from Google Drive for the time being, but until I get the new versions uploaded to Google Drive and MEGA, that's the only option to see them at this point.
If you've already downloaded these, you may end up wanting to download them again for a flawless experience.
I apologize for the inconvenience, and I can't blame you if you don't want to download them again since they are large files.
Was gonna download them in the next couple of weeks so this works out
No thanks. Let's leave the disrespect at the door. Hicks.

This was no disrespect for fan videos. It was only for comedy. Those three are actually the true heroes of Prometheus.
Really enjoyed both of these interpretations. Both movies substantially benefit from the material reinserted. 'PROMETHEUS' certainly feels more complete of the 2.
I only have one criticism, I felt the shot wehre we are introduced to the Covenant - the shot documenting the ship, where its headed, number of crew, colonists etc. - could be moved forward and inserted right before the Last Supper content. I think that would help bring that scene into the movie better. There's a shot of the Covenant exterior when the Last Supper starts. Maybe swap the 2 exterior shots around?
Otherwise, I really enjoyed both of these edits. Great job! Thanks for all the effort.
-Windebieste.
The Last Supper is probably the only bit of viral material that I genuinely can't stand, it's so cringy and awful. Less Jacob Branson is a good thing tbh too.
I still appreciate the effort on these fanedits but otherwise I completely agree with Rhubarb Leaves criticisms. After seeing Black Mirror's White Christmas and Michael Fassbender's Macbeth performance the wasted potential of Sean Harris and Rafe Spall irritates me even more unfortunately.
Their performances were good - but the material they had to deal with was very sloppy.
-Windebieste.
After watching both, The Prometheus Chaos Edition is the best now out there in terms of a concise definitive extended cut taking the crown from the same fancut maker of the Workprint edition
The Alien Covenant Chaos cut is overall excellent and is comprehensive by including nearly all the extras in the right places but there are elements of the best fancut previously until now, the Evanus Edit that in my opinion are done slightly better; like the touches of 'Meet Walter' to portray David's birth at the start, the very powerful but quiet close up of David & the sound of the wind as he's about to drop the black goo just before the Alien Covenant credits is outstanding and some of the music(Nice homage but I don't like the Chaos end credit theme tune, sorry) was done better in the Evanus edit like the greater inclusion of the Life track from Prometheus strengthened atmospherically the story arc's roots from the previous film. The Evanus edit has a strange but colder emotional punch somehow worth looking at.
But that aside The Chaos edition is on the road to being the best-Although lengthy, the addition of Phobos, the Last Supper and the crew messages to home (All not in the Evanus edit) are while very slightly clunky, they are in the right place & add massively to both an epic feel by the end & a greater depth & bond to the crew-Well done Coalesced Chaos and Thank you, I hope you aren't annoyed by some of my points coz you've done great but that's what I'd look at if you ever re edit it. Respect ✊
I watched the first hour and a bit of Covenant last night but had to turn it off as it was getting late. I was surprised at how much runtime the virals added to it and don't think it would have worked great in theaters but as a fan edit, watching it at home, I thought they actually really added a lot to the over-all experience. I thought it really gave a better sense of character and worked to build up towards the disaster.
OP, is there an ETA (16 minutes!) on when your fixed edits will be available for direct DL again? Eager to grab them. Thanks.
I finished watching Covenant (Chaos) at the weekend. I really enjoyed it with most of the footage added back in. I think it really gives a better sense of the characters. I wasn't keen on the Audi footage being inserted as it felt out of place. Also I'd have left out the Plaza scene for the same reason it was cut in the first place - the question of why David didn't bother flying off.
If you could blend in elements of the Evanus edit(Stronger opening before Alien Covenant title & excellent use of soundtrack) & maybeee slightly shorten but certainly not ditch the use of the crew message videos or remove Walter from the Phobos extras(Isn't formally introduced as Walter until The Last Supper so to uninitiated could be seen at first confusing) Apart from that the Chaos Alien Convenant rules
Trying to figure out how to download for Google Drive... help? Really was hoping to watch something like this, and it goes without saying that I bought the movies on Blu-Ray...
Hey folks. Can anybody give me some insights as to how to download these films? I'm a high-tech digital model builder, but when it comes to special internet techniques, I will admit to being a bit inept. I was really hoping to see how all of the footage was tied in together. Cheers!
The download links are down as Chaos had to go back and fix the framerate on his edits.
Any update on the new links being uploaded? ???
Been patiently waiting... :-X
Same
Im sure we'll hear soon
Ive emailed chris enquiring about it.
Really looking forward to it!
Although not as comprehensive in trying to include everything, the Evanus edit of AC is excellent & an intelligent cut of the film and all its extras, see home prequel page of topics for thread link
Yup still waiting for the re-up :'(

Hear we are approaching November and nothing. Anyone know if he will ever upload the revised Chaos Editions of these movies?
:(
You know what makes this really anoyying for me, I downloaded both edits and then deleted them when told framerate issue totally forgetting about that softwrae I mentioned in previous post.

Cool
Will there every be the possibility of doing a 4k 10bit HDR rip of your edits? I can't wait to watch Covenant but your Prometheus was hands-down the best IMHO. I'd love to see them in 10bit.

I had the CHAOS edition of Prometheus for a long time but never watched it til now. Far superior to the theatrical version, personally. Can't believe how much they cut for characters like Vickers.
I have seen the Evanus edit for Covenant but not the CHAOS edition. What are the differences?

From what I remember, the Chaos Edition has most of the viral videos inserted into the film, whereas mine just has
The Crossing, bits of
Meet Walter and
Advent at the end. The flashback sequences are probably slightly different as well.

Saw Chaos edition of Covenant, it's the most comprehensive in that includes all the extras and virals. It does it well but it makes the film very long.
The Evanus version while without Last Supper is tighter as an edit & is the best one going atm
I'm keen to check out both of these. Even keener to see the release of the corrected versions, so add my voice to the chorus of encouragement to keep at it, if they're still being worked on! In the meantime, can someone DM me with details as to how to get my hands on them?

I also missed The Last Supper from the Evanus edit. Add that and it could be as close to perfect as you could get it (I know tastes will vary.)
I agree, Evanus got it mostly (imo) right otherwise: the ingenious use of meet Walter for the creation of David, the opening with the tears welling in David's eye as the black goo drops on planet 4 with the sound of the wind (Chills), the flashback parts perfectly placed(Chaos edition not so well), Advent I would have stuck before the credits but I forgive it
The Chaos edition is great to include Phobos
And Last Supper but it suffers including Stuff like Oram and Lope's video logs which drag, Tennessee's is entertaining and Daniels is kinda key to the story but I felt something flirting with 3 hours was beyond even a prequel nut like me

Evanus did do a version 2(And what a fine upgrade it was) which includes meet Walter and also makes the lightining much better in dark scenes. You will find it in the link Evanus provided.

Thanks! I downloaded Evanus' edit a long time ago so must have missed his update. Still no Last Supper?
Nay
Yeah, I didn't include Last Supper mainly because the quality difference was a little too jarring, I thought. Plus it was always meant to be a viral video, unlike The Crossing.

The Ninth Circle version of Covenant did, so I'm going to guess that Prometheus will be the same. That's in addition to fixing the frame jitter issue, or whatever that was.
I put the question about release dates to the folks on the LV-426 subreddit and the word was to look out for it sometime this week, so hopefully we don't have to wait too much longer to find out.

Great, I have a friend who appreciates Prometheus and wanted to show him the (much better, imo) fan edition. Been waiting on the Ninth Circle edition, if it's different from the CHAOS one.
The ninth circle edition closer to the original Agent 9 Special Edition? Because that's still by far the best version to me. With the insertion of deleted scenes and finishing of their special effects but more crucially re-editing certain scenes to make more sense, like our map maker getting lost, for example.

I still want to see the 3D version of that. I got the flat one, but Prometheus is so good in 3D that a better edit of it would be fantastic to behold.

I've watched it myself and used it for research for my fan fiction novel. It's really good and I prefer it in relation to the original. Of both compilation films, I prefer to watch the longer editions because, and this is weird to say, it makes more sense to me and fits into the universe better than the originals.

Anyone know if the Ninth Circle and Chaos Editions of Prometheus will get a digital release?
If you've read the pages up until this point, you know as much as we do. Really hoping it's still on the horizon.
I hope we get digital release. I want to be able to watch these new editions.
I have a fan edit 2hrs 3minutes,37 seconds. It has an ending that has David's Monologue in his den of experimental studies short video. Is this the same as the Chaos Edition?
Has anyone watched the LV 426 edit of The Man Behind The Mask (TMBTM, fanedit web)?
Is there a lot of difference between these two?

I found this article today: CHAOS EDITIONS - Editing Notes (https://yutani.studio/2018/05/03/chaos-editions/). There were no links to download any files, even though Mega and Google Drive were mentioned. I found the Ninth Circle Edition (https://yutani.studio/2021/04/27/ninth-circle-edition-alien-covenant-downloads-editing-notes/), so I don't need Alien Covenant. But it would be nice to track down the 18GB version of Prometheus mentioned in the article (first link above). Anybody know where that is being hosted?
If not, I found this (https://i.postimg.cc/qv5PxJNP/Alien-Covenant-Ninth-Circle-Edition-Disclaimer.png) earlier tonight. The in movie fan edit disclaimer and introduction at the beginning of the Ninth Circle Edit of Alien Covenant. It mentions a Ninth Circle Edit of Prometheus, which I didn't know existed until I read this. It says I need to visit Studio Yutani to find it, but I can find no evidence of such a release there. I used the 'Prometheus' and 'chaos edition' tags, as well as searching all the posts on the Studio Yutani blog from present back to 2017. I'm wondering if it has been pulled permanently but done quietly for some unannounced reason. Does anybody have more information or know where I can find that version of Prometheus?
Note: I have joined the ORIGAE-6 (https://www.facebook.com/groups/studioyutani) Facebook group and accessed their Dropbox for fan edits. I found a reddit post (https://www.reddit.com/r/fanedits/comments/iwwgg5/prometheus_covenant_chaos_editions/), made last year, referencing it as a source for the 18GB Prometheus films which had been removed from the Yutani blog. Unfortunately, those films are no longer available within the Dropbox either. Though the Ninth Circle Edition of Alien Covenant is there if anyone is looking. You can also find it on Google Drive and Mega, links here (https://yutani.studio/2021/04/27/ninth-circle-edition-alien-covenant-downloads-editing-notes/).
I've managed to get hold of mp4 versions of both Prometheus & Covenant Chaos editions which I've uploaded. Hopefully, the links won't get removed. If anyone would like links please PM me.
I think we are all waiting for the Ninth Circle edition of Prometheus which has still not been released to date. If anyone has any further info surrounding it's eventual release that would be great as I loved the original Chaos Edition of it.
Greetings! Just found out about the Chaos Editions, if anyone can hook me up, that would be fantastic.
Are there any other good edits out there I should look for?
Cheers!
I would be grateful also for a link :) Cheers

Starting to think we will never get that Prometheus Ninth Circle Edition.
Same.
Was announced over a year ago and nothing from the creator since.
Anyone know what happened?
New user here, big fan of Prometheus, conflicted on Covenant but always been curious to see how the fan cuts would improve it. Is the Ninth Circle Edition considered better than the Chaos cut?
Hey :) Any chance I could get the links to the chaos editions? :)
Any chance someone could privately message links to both chaos (prometheus and covenant) versions?
Hi. I would sincerely appreciate it if someone could provide instructions for how to obtain the Chaos editions of Prometheus and Covenant. Thanks either way.

Personal stuff, may not come out at all.
I was going to saw Alien Covenant (its my favourite sci-fi movie of all times) in 4K then searching Spanish subtitles for the 2160p.x265 version i found subs saying than there re fan edits and i end here, i need the two versions of this art peaces!! someone send me a PM with links please!!
I'd love a PM as well!
Why
in prometheus Deacons
In covenant Neomorphs
What do you think?
David upgrade deacon to neomorph?
Or deacon is neomorph from engineer?

They're separate creatures with different lifecycles. Deacon is a result of such convoluted sequence of events it would be reasonable to say it's first and last of its kind, would be hard to recreate that
And
It
Engineers Drink deacon's blood
Destroy to atoms
For make humans
Infected them black goo
For make deacons
And take deacon's blood!
What difference between deacon's blood and black goo?
If black goo In prometheus make deacons
in covenant destroy to atoms and make neomorphs
Spoiler

No i think deacon just son of man who mutation to deacon and f*ck his wife
Neomorph same but white!
Both from black goo!
It different black goo?
David upgrade black goo in covenant?
Just interesting why deacon is blue and neomorph is white
Deacon is a result of an Engineer being faceraped by elephant-sized Facehugger that was cut out from Shaw's belly shortly after she had sex with a man infected by Black Goo
Neomorph is a result of a human being being infected by some spores
Which one of these is more likely to happen twice ?
Or deacon just neomorph after alcohol! 😃

Hudband of elizabeth mutation to deacon
And his son is deacon
Same with neomorphs
In covenant

Hi everyone. To those who recently PM'ed me regarding links to the Chaos editions sorry I haven't gotten back to you I've been house-sitting for two weeks and all of last week, I was seriously ill.
I'm sorry but I can't provide download links anymore as Mega has removed the files - The file has been removed as it violated our Terms of Service. I no longer have them on my computer so no more Chaos editions sorry.
Thank you for your helpfulness regardless.

Well thank you for the help mate! I did watch the Chaos Edition of Covenant and it improved loads on the TC... the coda could've been shorter, but still
I do not think it improved it any honestly just made it much longer, in fact I think the Last Supper's noticeably sub par, The Crossing's pretty good but removes any mystery.
It is not like the Prometheus Special Edition; that explains Millburn's behaviour, Fifield's more impressive as a monster, it explains how they both got lost in the structure, and it reinserted that great scene between Janek and Vickers so the fate of the Prometheus does not come out of nowhere, and we actually get more than nothing when the Engineer speaks.
I really had hoped the Ninth Circle Edition might be an improvement upon that. Just without the bizarre audio changes.
Hello. Would anybody have a working link for Prometheus Chaos Edition? I missed out on it by waiting for unreleased Ninth Circle update. Thank you for your time!
Hello, could I get a link to please. Thank you!
I would love to get a link too please. Thanks!
Me too, a link would be super appreciated!
Ever since I saw a post on the LV426 subreddit about Prometheus being a christmas movie (is that a faux pas mentioning reddit? I'm a major lurker so rarely ever post anything or comment, not so experienced with forums) I've been devouring anything related to the film. One thing led to another and I've been looking into the fan edits and the chaos editions sound super appealing - I've spent an unreasonable length of time searching for them and it's led me here so again, a link would be fab (trying not to beg too hard) c:
Hello, everyone.
Does anyone happen to have Chaos Editions working links?
I will be grateful if anyone can share it with me.
Thanks.

Is there no special edition where Janek and Vickers are wrestling or something?
Hey guys, finnally got around to registering and not lurking.
I found the google drive link to prometheus chaos edition floating around, and that was great, but can't seem to find the one for covenant. I can pm a onedrive upload link if anyone has it. Hoping to find the big 18 gb version, but I'll take whatever I can get.
As an offering, I happened to come across an extended fan cut of Alien, a full 2.5 hours long if anyone's interested.
It has just about every cut scene crammed in, 30 minutes worth... loads of ones I've never seen, including creepin test footage of Bolaji, part of the airlock sequence, much longer derelict sequences with the infamous mural, the screen test with Ripley in the shuttle with "Dallas" (some random dude who just appears in the film for one scene haha), much longer chestburster scene too.
Its a rough and disjointed cut, different quality between scenes, but a fascinating watch. If anyone's interested, send me a PM.
