A few more details. More stuff to follow  ;D

"Can I buy advance tickets, or buy online?"
No. And no need to as there will be plenty of room for eveybody coming.
So it's pay on the door – no advance bookings.
All the proceeds go to children charities – somewhat unusual for an event of this kind. This is because the National Space Centre itself is a charity so they're able to get breaks to make this all possible. It also keeps the cost down for our convention attendees.

Hotel information
£48 B&B rate at the Premier Inn, Leicester Braunstone South as a convention special deal. Runs 23-26 September.
However, it is cheaper if you book a hotel room now without breakfast at the non-refundable rate but it will get more expensive week on week so that's why the NSC has set up the B&B deal (which can be booked anytime before and during the event weekend).

You could get three or four in a room – this is what the UKCM lads do to keep the cost down.

There is also a city center Prem Inn that seems cheaper, checking today's prices (again, if booked now) so you might want to consider that.
I stayed at both and can recommend them. They're cheap, decent but if you're coming by train you may want the city centre hotel which might appeal to some.

Sweet, and I see there's a nice big car park at the Braunstone one. Good good.

*rubs hands* I get paid tomorrow, I think I shall book me a room.

Corporal Hicks- Hold on to that damn chopper for me ...After much deliberation and special clearance from the missus, I've raided the piggy bank and have been green lit. One quick thing to ask, looking at train prices to get from mine to yours the cost is exactly the same from mine to Leicester plus the travel time is shorter by 1hr to go direct to Leiceseter, so I will make my own way down, trying not to get lost on the way and will hopefully arrange to meet you after. So, with this in mind, i'm up for sharing a room if wanted to do that, and will bung you some reddies on arrival. plus i'll be packing my mace spray and rape alarm, handy for close encounters!! ;)

Corporal Hicks

Check in time for the hotel is 2pm but kick off for the con is around 10. So if we meet at the hotel anyway, bang your crap in my boot and head off into the con.

I'll definitely be there!

I won't be going to the dinner though, there's too much on that menu that I can't eat/don't like so fun as it would be... no. Will be lurking around during the day though.

I've just been sent the newest poster for the upcoming Aliens Encounters: 25 Years of Aliens convention which includes new details:

Isn't my name Aaron Percival? That's right, I'm talking on a panel with Ian Nathan (Empire writer and author of Alien Vault) and Christian Fowler of Alien Prequel News. There is also going to be a dinner party with the guests and the guys over at Alien Legacy. Myself, Vulhala & resident Giger approved blogger Valaquen are going so make sure you buy a ticket and join us.

Wow, Corporal Hicks, how were you chosen to be a part of this awesome event?!  Wish I was in the area.

Corporal Hicks

Probably because we're the biggest Alien/Predator fansite online, same as APN is probably the best Prometheus focused website around. Plus I'd met the organizer before so I do kinda know him anyway.
