Given the facts that it takes itself very seriously, is sci-fi and has controversial subject matter I'd say it's impossible for it to get anything above an 85% an that's if it was f**king phenomenal. Realistically I'm thinking 70-75%

52% to be exact. Far too early to tell how Prometheus will fare as far as Rotton Tomatoes is concerned. I'd actually stick with AVP Galaxy's own percentage meter at the moment.

If the film is rated between 70 and 80, it's considered a hit...and for all the doom and gloom by the 4-6 users on this board, the prediction for success is damn good. I hope it lives up to it. I can't fu€king WAIT!!!

Has anyone else read the latest batch of official reviews? They're unabashedly positive...with the one on moviecitys site saying there hasn't been a serious science fiction film like this in years.

I really really hope I like this film, but as I continue to say, I could not like it just as easily.....A WEEK LEFT!!!!! AHHHHHH

When Snow White was at 80% or whatever it was, the actual rating average was 5.8/10 - Prometheus right now is 7.5/10.

I always pay attention to that number more than the percentage. It speaks much louder of quality.

If it does more than 50% I will never get why AVP & AVP-R are respectively 22% & 12%.
Or maybe the name "Ridley Scott" & 200M+$ budget sold them out?
