Yes, it adds a lot to the very beginning, showing more of Frank's relationship with his partner and more of what led to his family dying. And the ending is slightly different, and Frank's narration isn't present. There's also more gore/violence but that's all in the unrated cut as well.

Oh and I almost forgot, the workprint uses music from Aliens as a temp track.

This was on the gogglebox last night and although I didn't intend to watch it, once I'd started I couldn't stop. One of my favourite movies.

The last ten minutes are absolutely devastating.

The Punisher (2004) - Extended Cut

Shame this version never made it to blu-ray. It's not as drastic a difference as the Director's Cut of Daredevil, but the subplot with the partner who betrayed Frank is an excellent addition.
