*click* Noice.

Predator 2 (1990)
Really good.

Predators (2010)
That was...a bit rich, but okay.

The Predator (2018)
That wasn't very nice. Uh, actually, um...it was horrible.

Prey (2022)
And everything was lovely once again. Wonderful.

Or to simplify/non-memeify this -

Predator - Great
Predator 2 - f**k Yeah
Predators - Okay
The Predator - Poor
Prey - Good

Didn't revisit the AVPs but they'd go like -

AVP - Okay... ish? Idk.
AVPR - Awful

Can someone explain the general disdain for the AVP films? I personally really liked the first one and honestly felt it was just slightly below Predator 2.

Predator 1
Predator 2
AVP
Prey
Predators
AVPR
The Predator (💩)

Probably just high expectations. I was disappointed by Godzilla vs Kong, and then I realized versus movies are never going to be the best, they can't be, combining franchises is frought With pitfalls, you are going to offend one fan base or the other.

Paul W.S Anderson I find incapable of making good art or entertainment.

😂 Honestly you're so right, that's a perfect synopsis of Andersons stuff. But I do really think AVP is a bit of an outlier, I really liked it but yes I don't think by any metric it was "Good" art or entertainment and Mortal Kombat is kinda a classic but even that wasn't anything super special.

A good Predator story is a good parallel about human violence:

- The Black Ops Team fighting a bunch of underarmed Guerrillas
- The city violence in the 90s
- The indigenous hunting rituals
- A bunch of assassins from around the world

Etc

Why is though, No Predator ever gets a break and lives. It would be nice and make sense to do a film and the main Predator to actually survive at the end. Would certainly add some realism to it.

Even though I really enjoyed Prey, it's right behind P2.  Don't worry, Lionhart, the votes for Prey will soon be climibing.

Come on guys, drop some votes in here. Haven't watched prey yet but I'm curious to see how it stacks up with the rest of the movies.
