What would Ash have done if he met the Alien?

I think Ash would have studied it from afar and lured the remaining crew to their deaths. Then possibly try to secure the alien for the company.

If I were Ash, I would've sabotaged the shuttle, preventing the crew from escaping, and maybe even had done something to the ship's self-destruct after hearing Lambert's desperate proposition.
