While it's aesthetic is more 2001: A Space Odessy, the pratical miniatures and effects strongly evoke Alien. In fact, miniature maker Martin Bower would later go on to build the Nostromo model and special effects artist, Brian Johnson would later go on to work as special effects supervisor on Alien.
The show also has some interresting horror elements and low gravity is recreated outside the moonbase, a rarity in sci-fi shows. Here is the first episode:
