There are some interesting details and assumptions discussed throughout the video pertaining to repetition compulsion and the Kleinian theory- I was also unfamiliar with Klein prior to this video. Along with the good/bad breast information I thought the focal length of the camera was an interesting parallel to that of a newborn's focal point.
I find it amusing how Ripley going back for Jonesy riled up the critics. I guess who's to really say how you would behave in such a situation, but I'd like to think I'd go back for my furbaby. It does at least make sense when looking at Jonesy as her last good attachment and something that is familiar in such an unfamiliar situation.
