You know Amanda would suddenly have a Welsh accent if Burrows portrayed her, right? :)

Point is, if you just want her to portray the character because you want 'Isolation' to be canonical, it's an impossibility because her accent would then be completely changed. She would in no way sound like she does in the game.

And the majority of that experience is spent hearing her voice, not looking at her face.

Perfect-Organism

I think it would be very interesting if at the end of Blomkamp's film Ripley discovers that her daughter's grave is either empty, or after some fact-checking she discovers that she was never buried in Westlake Repository, Little Chute Wisconsin.

But as much as I would love a film with Amanda Ripley in it, I am not sure if I would like to see her in a movie with the Ripley.  I mean it is conceivable that she could be lost in hibernation for 80 years, but that would be way too co-incidential, not to mention that it would totally undermine the premise of James Cameron's film.

BishopShouldGo

Oh that'd be interesting. I'd love to see Ripley at her grave. I think perhaps a scene and a few references to Amanda would be best. A missing Amanda would divert from the main story I feel. Heck even Newt could visit the grave with her, since she's her surrogate daughter.

Gosh just give me Ripley, Rebecca, Hicks and some new android going up against the aliens and the WY execs and I'll just be exalted. Throw in Easter eggs and references galore too. Not homages though. Heck maybe Bishop was discontinued but our Bishop is stored away for safekeeping and he gets rebooted for one scene for some reason lol.

You say that, but Amanda Ripley in Isolation actually worked. She wasn't shoehorned in, they came up with legitimate, totally logical reason for her to be involved, and I liked how she was portrayed.

In this case I agree, Amanda was portrayed well and I enjoyed her story in Isolation, I did have doubts at first because I too believed Ripley or the name, is just overused and it felt like attempt at milking the franchise via nostalgia.

I would prefer Amanda to continue her own story after Isolation rather than have her in Alien 5 though.

Or wife, the Alien universe, or at least the AVP stories tend to be very progressive with marriages between same sex being  just as unremarkable and "everyday" as traditional marriages.

You got a point though, living in an area for a long time can make you lose your original accent and pick up another but still, it wouldn't do her justice to have her in the new film, she at most deserves her own story independent of her mother, continued from Isolation but I wouldn't want to see that go on forever either at it will just be the same thing as what her mother went through over and over.
