I think it would be very interesting if at the end of Blomkamp's film Ripley discovers that her daughter's grave is either empty, or after some fact-checking she discovers that she was never buried in Westlake Repository, Little Chute Wisconsin.
But as much as I would love a film with Amanda Ripley in it, I am not sure if I would like to see her in a movie with the Ripley. I mean it is conceivable that she could be lost in hibernation for 80 years, but that would be way too co-incidential, not to mention that it would totally undermine the premise of James Cameron's film.
