Quote from: Cougerboy on Apr 26, 2025, 11:38:00 AMYou know, as someone said on here earlier, had the design been close to the classic jungle or city hunter, people will complain the filmmakers are lazy and lacking in creativity or innovative thinking in just copying 100% the prior look. So in the end, you just can't please people, it seems. Hahaha.

Not all of us. That'd be like complaining the humans look too human in the movie. Where's the imagination lol.

Not all humans look the exact same tho! If you saw Adrian Brody in public would you confuse him with Arnold?

Thankfully Dan Trachtenberg added some much needed diversity to the Predators with his films, as every Predator who appeared previously looked exactly the same.

I'm not stupid, I know that they aren't exactly the same, but you can't look at most of the previous predators and not see that they are basically just the Jungle Hunter with slight differences.

Also, I was responding to his point that complaining about the predators looking the same would be the same thing as people complaining about humans looking human, when humans are already diverse so it's a dumb point.

I like to think Dek is a young teenage Yautja that hasn't grown into his face yet.

That's pretty much the consensus. Hopefully it's confirmed when we see his dad without the mask.

Assuming the Predator with white dreadlocks is his father, I'm still unsure if he's gonna look like a regular Pred. It looks like his head lacks the usual crown, it's more rounded and akin to Feral imo so I wouldn't be surprised if they share a similar face.

I mashed a few photos of predators and compared to this elder from the trailer, according to AI this Elder has smaller head proportions.

My feeling is that the head is smaller, so the argument that Dek's head is smaller due to his youth falls appart (which I don't like)

OR

My crazy theory: This is actually future older Dek and he just has a small head for some reason

The smaller head is just a personal preference from Dan.

And btw Dan has said in the SFX interview that the Pred looks have not come up in any feedback given during screenings... so forget about the Sonic effect

The argument was more about his "hairline" possibly changing over the course of his life so we'll still have to wait and see, or probably wait and hear from Trachtenberg and the team. I don't think the size of his head will ever change lol, but the dreadlocks placement and the crown/crest may still be different if we get to see Dek later in life in a sequel.

Hmmm true.... Hopefully his hair line is moved back and he doesn't go to Turkey to fix it
