All of those are either from the EU or never said in the film. Between the language and the team up I think it's fair to say Dek will actually be used in the movie.

It's still characterization regardless. Just because you personally don't look at the EU doesn't mean that others haven't followed the Predator series in that regard. Dan simply is now taking what we see from the EU to here from what the interviews said about him and why not? It's why so many people refer to the Predator race as Yautja for decades now, due to how influence of the EU. Like it or not, this is not new to the Predator series overall and seeing this in films doesn't ruin anything to what has been established.

Let's not giving the pred a name, because naming him is humanizing it, wich is not the way to go.

You literally have "Yautja," the term that's most responsible for humanizing the Predators in the entire history of their existence as a fictional species, as part of your username.

Yeah it's a username. It doesn't mean anything, for me there is no such thing as a yauta in the pred movies.
I don't even consider the preds after Grayback to be real preds, they are just failed attempts.
I'm genuinely concerned by the fact that a short and  ponytailed predator using a pred motorbike is not triggering most of you. Badlands will be the RoboCop 3 of the franchise, a ponytailed hero pred using a motorbike, reminds me of the ridiculous flying robocop. And the pred dialogue...Imagine if Grayback had a dialogue scene with the lost preds, deciding to spare or not Harrigan, imagine how ridiculous it would've been. This is what you will get.

Wasn't there a predator that was barely taller than Danny Glover on the ship in Predator 2?

Also, the predators have been styling their dreads in different ways in the expanded media for a while now, so why should it be concerning that a predator is finally going to have its dreads styled in a different way, compared to every predator in the movies that let them loose in the same way!

The motorbike is the only thing that I'm mixed about, but even that will depend on the execution of how it's used!

There was shorter preds at the end of P2, but they weren't the main preds. Anyways we need to see dear Dek fully first.

You can't properly judge a Dek until you see it in action. So what if hes a little smaller than the others?  He can still get the job done  .
