Hopefully it wont be the later release.

I doubt they will end up releasing on the same day.
Here's hoping Predator gets pulled up.
Some dates in August are still kind of open.  August 22nd sounds nice.

If the movie was going to be ready for Summer, I think they would have targeted a Summer release date to begin with. That's a full three month difference from what they have booked, though. If it changes release date, I can't see it being pulled that far forward.

I'm with you there. If either movie gets moved it feels like it would be by a week or two at most

And if either movie is getting pushed back, then it would be at the earliest March 2026 because everyone will want to stay clear off Avatar: Fire and Ash, this beast will monopolize the first weeks of 2026.

But again, I don't see it happening. I'm sure both Predator: Badlands and The Running Man will do fine, but they won't cannibalize each other.

Predator just suits summer imo lol

BigDaddyJohn

This one does have a fun blockbuster vibe that would fit summer.

I wonder when the movie will be finished.

5 months

RoguePred1987

they'll take as much time as they can get. most movies are being worked on right up to their release date, and in some rare cases even after.

I work in the movie industry.  There are lot of factors that involve a release date choice. Doesn't necessarily mean the movie won't be finished, or can easily be finished by August.
Look at how far they pulled up Alien Covenant back in 2017
Not saying that's what's going to happen, but I do still think one of the movies will end up shifting a bit.  My bet is Running Man, since Badlands has already cemented that date with advertising, and Running Man is a little behind.
