I never really liked that one. It's terribly obvious they hacked it to bits in the edit. Not only are there glaring violence cuts, they don't even mention the new "48 hours" in the title because they deleted that entire subplot.

Mortal Kombat (2021)
Quite average. Bad casting, weak action, lame story,... All things that easily could've been done better. And probably at the same cost.

Read some time ago a lot of HBO staff quit or switched jobs.
Would explain the decline. HBO used to mean quality. Even if it wasn't that good, at least it was well made.
