So damn excited for this movie, I think Ryan Johnson is a talented writer/filmmaker and from what I'm reading with the reviews, hes knocked it out of the park again. Yes... I loved what he did was The Last Jedi also.
I feel like Leto's Joker would love that poster.

This movie is a blast! One of my top films of the year.
My disgust with the man's attitude and the fact that every media outlet that defends him strawmans any critique of his work as being bigoted, regardless of the fact he's a rich white boy that diminished the roles of everyone but. Is probably going to stop me from enjoying this even if it's a masterpiece.
Likewise. Don't give a damn about this movie at all.

Preach.
I'm sure I saw a trailer for a new Cluedo movie a while ago..... and then this appears.
I'm seeing this movie on friday with my parents, I'm looking forward to it.
This is, without a doubt, the most fun I've had in a theater in 2019.
I will be seeing this tomorrow!!!
I'm seeing it tomorrow morning. Can't wait. ;D
Saw it today with my parents, this was a real good time.
I would be totally okay with Rian Johnson turning this into some kind of movie series using Daniel Craig's character.

Had my first major issue in this era of theaters without projectionists - watching @KnivesOut and sound/audio cut out for 10 minutes during a pivotal scene upstairs... I had my head down so I wouldn't see any twists - plot points without sound. Took about 20 minutes or so to get the digital projector back up and running and back to the point in the movie where audio cut off.
The theater did give everyone that stayed a readmission ticket for any movie in the future.
Other than that I really enjoyed the movie.
This was a whole lot of fun. I could watch a whole series of movies about Blanc.
This was fantastic

And Knives Out 3 confirmed in the process. Very cool.
I just hope that they do a limited theatrical run, 'cause seeing the first one on the big screen was an incredibly joyous experience.
I still say a sequel should be set in the porn industry.
Spoiler
And titled Dicks Out. ;D

Wait Netflix? when was that announced? did i miss something?
Quote from: Whiskeybrewer on Sep 08, 2022, 02:16:14 PMWait Netflix? when was that announced? did i miss something?
Yeah, it was a big deal a year or so ago. Netflix swooped in and purchased the exclusive rights to the future of the
Knives Out sequels it a pretty hefty deal with Rian Johnson, and greenlighting
Glass Onion and an as yet untitled/upcoming third film in the process. (https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/19/business/media/netflix-knives-out-deal.html)
Thankfully,
Glass Onion is still getting some sort of limited run theatrical release before it hits Netflix's streaming service. I'm really hoping that it releases near me, because seeing
Knives Out on the big screen was such a fun theatrical experience.
https://twitter.com/rianjohnson/status/1578097634601930753
Saw Glass Onion yesterday. Loved loved loved it. Every bit as fun as Knives Out, while also distinctly forging its own style/identity/structure that stands entirely on its own here. Johnson wears his heart on his sleeve, Craig seems to be having the time of his life, the whole ensemble rocks, and the mystery is as twisty and exciting as they come.
This is some of the most fun I've had in a theater all year. It's such a shame that the theatrical release is so limited, because that is absolutely the way this should be seen.

Some details and behind the scene from the work of Steve Yedlin (Director of Photography behind Rian Johnson's movies)
https://vimeo.com/783483596
I liked it. I saw as more of an extension of the first film, just not as clever. I loved the setup but it kind of started falling apart for me in the second half.
Rian Johnson is already working on the next Knives Out movie.

Good. Whatever keeps him away from Star Wars.
Booo! Make another Star War Johnson!
Then he should make Holdo: A Star Wars Story. Or DJ. Or Tico. I want to see him put the enduring popularity of his original characters to the test.
I'll never not be curious about what his Star Wars trilogy was (is?) supposed to be. Helps that TLJ was the best of the Sequel slate.
I'll also take a new Knives Out followup every few years from now until the end of time, please and thank you.
My favorite movie of his is still Brick.
Brick rocks.
Love the chase where he takes off his shoes lol

I'll take DJ or Tico. Rose got done dirty in Rise of Skywalker.
As well as another Knife Out please.
Glass Onion worked for me because of its satirical take on Elon Musk, even though Johnson claims it wasn't intentional.

I hope he and Branagh keep alternating Blanc and Poirot movies for a while.
I haven't seen Branagh's takes on Murder on the Orient Express or Death on the Nile, as I wasn't super hot on the trailers for either, but I thought A Haunting in Venice looked good so I went to see that one and had quite a bit of fun with it.

Murder is pretty good, Nile is a mixed bag.
Knives Out 3 needs to have Matt Berry as a rival detective
My big hope for a third one was that it'd be a bit of a horror film, big spooky mansion, et al. But Branagh beat Johnson to the punch there.

I should have a tone similar to Kenny Everett's "Bloodbath at the House of Death"
QuoteT-Street is gearing up to make the third installment of the Benoit Blanc franchise for Netflix later this year. The yet to be titled film will again be written and directed by Johnson, who helmed the franchise predecessors Knives Out and Glass Onion. Daniel Craig will return in the lead role of the sleuth.
