Sega just confirmed to us that the game will be shown behind-closed-doors (press only). They will be showing a bit more than at E3 as well.

They are being very coy about this game, i think its for a good purpose though. You dont see Ridley Scott or James Cameron flaunting their work early. PAX would be the ideal place to show the game to the public, but we'll see.

I'm getting very pissed off with this. How do they expect us to get excited about the damn game when they won't show it to us?

Yeah, that was shown at the E3 too.

It opens with a ship crashing onto the surface of LV-426. The player comes to with a fellow Marine asking if he's all right. The response is a quick middle finger.

A tense battle against the Alien queen, close-up fights with face huggers and what appears to be an all-out assault involving scores of dropships.

I was just re-reading this and actually I remember hearing about a scene with lots and lots of dropships. IIRC they were invading the derelict, but then again this was ages ago.
