Did they actually call a place Bogan?

... was there a single Australian involved with this or did they just quickly Google the word "Australia" and throw the first words that popped up into a blender?

I love this property, even if the second film sucked. Let's see a Godzilla crossover. Or Kong and Godzilla vs pacific rim kaiju.

I can't f**king wait. Right now I'm doing back to back run of  two movies waiting for the series.

So awkward title aside Pacific Rim: The Black is pretty good. Feels like the smaller scale sequel Uprising should've been in the absence of del Toro's grandeur. I wish there were 7 more episodes to dig into because the first season does a great job setting things up and introducing new concepts - in ways far smarter than Uprising ever did, arguably making some of Uprising's events/ideas a tad more bearable. Mileage may vary but as a 'take' on the Pac Rim franchise it's as different from Uprising as Uprising was to del Toro's film, but in a good way.

Spoiler
My one nitpick again is the amount of episodes - It feels hurried and a little too fast paced at times, the first and final episodes would have benefitted from being two-parters. Episode 1 goes by pretty quick, setting a lot of things in motion, introducing a batch of young characters only to kill most of them off, etc. But overall it's a solid continuation.

The trailers did basically nothing for me, so I haven't watched any of it yet. Not sure if I will - but I'd be lying if I said I don't really like the design of this Jaeger.

I'm really happy with Pacific Rim The Black. The voice acting is good, the animation is good, the story was good, and there were some really good suprises and emotional moments. Most importantly, there was plenty of robots punching monsters.

Nothing too spoiler-y but Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans on Netflix, produced by Guillermo del Toro, has a very cool, very unabashed shoutout to Pacific Rim that took me by surprise.

If you don't know what any of this is -
QuoteTrollhunters, Wizards, and 3 Below are three animated shows that are part of Guillermo Del Toro's Tales of Arcadia series. The series begins with Trollhunters (a fantasy show) followed by 3 Below (a sci-fi spinoff) and Wizards (a direct follow up to the last season of Trollhunters). Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans is basically a culmination that unites all three shows against a new threat.

Rumors seem to have what del Toro is teasing in his Tweet as being an LA re-release of the film (presumably with him in attendance, I'd imagine), but I would love to see something more widespread than that. Would love to catch this one on the big screen again if it were to come to my area.
