Avp2 Lan/Multiplayer Host Issue

When i try to host a lan or mulitplayer server with a custom map, ( UMP2 )
i get an error saying unable to load the selected map.
everything is up to date

1 check ump2 its  installed and updated (simply try to join on a server online ump2) tbbc for exemple have ump2 and last ms 2.3
2 if you want try host a lan just for see a single map try to make a lan not dedicated.
3 if you continue to see the same error check if game is installed on default root (exemple c :/programs files/fox/avp2) in case your game is installed on a folder different then default make a clean installation of entire game + expansion then reinstal ump2.

playing any online multiplayer game works fine.
if i deselect the dedicated it gives me a menu when i try to launch saying " hosting games inside avp2 is no longer supported due to massive changes in the client/server protocol. Do you want to host a dedicated server instead?"

if i hit no nothing happens,. i have to hit yes to start it. starting does the same thing
reinstalling had no effect either

Ump2 is made up of 3 parts maybe you have not followed the instructions carefully.
In any case the only difference when starting avp2 with ump2 being the loading screen
If properly installed the change screen.
I do not know if you are using the tbbc client to connect multiplayer, in any case the command to start avp2 with ump2 be the same -rez ump2.
You can either start it from the main game menu, or from the optional parametersinside avp2 client .

i do have the rez line in the games command and it does say on launch. i am notusing tbbc client

Very strange, try to join on server called [TBBC] UMP maps server [D]
If you can not see this server from the game multiplayer list.
Try with tbbc avp2 client
http://files.tbbcbase.net/AvP2Client.exe

tips for the client
use a simple nickname or chat will not work!

example nickname: alien
Player name: alien

Remember to set the command line inside client for start ump2

i didnt have  Rez1="UMP2"
in the customrez.text
now i do and it works

Hello I encountered this problem (Hosting games inside AvP2 is no longer supported due to massive changes in the client/server protocol. Do you want to host a dedicated server instead?) can you fix it please!
