Oh my gosh! I follow Dodo on Instagram, and for some reason I haven't subscribed to the YouTube channel yet.
Thank you for reminding me 😅

For some reason, the youtube algorithm recommended hololive to me out of the blue.
I didn't know what a vtuber was at the time, and clicked on one of the videos, and now I am ashamed to admit, I have watched a shit ton of hololive clipped videos.
I don't know where it came from.
I usually watch firefight videos, 2000 era nba and college basketball videos, football videos, paranormal shit, and the occasional gaming video, but it is mostly retro gaming because I don't like to spoil new games that I have the potential to play.
I think maybe a clipped video of Korone playing old games might've been the first hololive vid i saw, and that is the only thing I think could've linked what I normally watch with hololive.
This hurts my masculinity. I normally have to go into my home gym and rep 225 a dozen times to get my testosterone back up.
PINGTR1P mostly does edits of podcasts, usually quite insane and funny.

I have never seen one of those videos from beginning to end, but I found out about their existence a few weeks ago after watching too many videos of the
"Are you wining son" meme. I saw the recommendation, clicked. Then there was a guy flirting with a virtual waifu. I found it somewhat cringy and stopped watching.

Ok, more humor :D
If you saw a dude hitting on a female vtuber it probably wasn't hololive.
Yeah you're right. But this one here is holoview? The algorithm recommended it to me while listening to John Denver's original song.
Gura is indeed hololive. I think she's their biggest member actually, despite the fact that it is a japanese company with mostly japanese performers.
Gura's actress is the same girl who had the hello boomer song that blew up neekolul.
I still don't understand what it's hololive. They're like VR equivalent of Youtubers but in an Anime fashion?
A vtuber is essentially a streamer that uses an avatar instead of showing themselves when actually streaming.
Hololive is just a company that runs specific vtubers. There are a bunch of said companies, and a bunch of individual vtubers who aren't associated with any company.
Being a vtuber allows a person to protect their identity much better than actual streaming does (even though people know who all the english streamers are as well as half the japanese ones for hololive) as well as kind of embrace roleplaying elements that they wouldn't be able to as just streamers.
I really only watch hololive as I find them generally more wholesome and positive than most other vtubers.
That's clear, thank you.
It's new and weird and scary to me and I do not like it!

There are vtubers that do that, but generally its their choice and they do it for the lulz. Snuffy/codemiko etc.
There are some like coco who do it in hololive, but coco gets a free pass because she works harder than just about all the other japanese vtubers in that act and takes bullets for the team. She's a huge draw bringing in english and japanese viewers because shes a japanese american living in japan, but because she mentioned taiwan in a stream without referencing it "belonging to china", she is constantly bombarded by chinese nationalist who continually try to ruin her vtuber career.
Its pretty interesting. It's kind of like following something like OTV with all the same dynamics at play behind the scenes, but with avatars and more metaphors (sense in hololive the performers aren't supposed to acknowledge real life past experiences).
OTV and friends is another good one to view, since there is such a dynamic of people, including some heavyweight streamers, interacting with lesser known streamers that all enjoy themselves together. They've even played imposter with people like AOC and Jimmy Fallon and a couple of their midsize streamers are currently blowing up into something more than just a streamer, crossing over into music careers and business ownership.
I like seeing when people who are generally considered good people behind and in front of the screen work hard and get rewarded, and that is why I like both OTV and Hololive. Both have hardworkers that are good people, both are blowing up.
These two have some fun and weird deepfakes.

Anyway, speaking of YouTube, have you guys ever dived into the realm of youtube automation (https://pursuitofpassiveincome.com/youtube-automation/)? It's this wild concept where you streamline your content creation process. The idea of making YouTube a bit more, well, automated is intriguing, right? Wondering if anyone else has dipped their toes into this world or has thoughts about it.

North Korean Defectors-Very rarely did the defectors escape via the DMZ in between the two Koreas because the North Korean side is heavily guarded by North Korean soldiers and the DMZ is a minefield. A great majority of them escaped via China.
-Park Yeonmi is one of the very few of the North Korean defectors who speaks in English on YouTube.
김서아tvThe North Korean government chose Kim Seo-ah to work at a North Korean restaurant in Cambodia. She met her South Korean customer there. He convinced her to escape the restaurant with him. They went upstairs and sneaked to the roof of another building. They are a married couple now. It took some time for them to enter South Korea because South Korea's previous Moon administration appeased North Korea and prohibited her from entering. This administration had a tendency to choose NK's side. It was after the current president from the opposition party won the election that she was able to move to South Korea.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S47P9Svlaj8JooSungHaTVJoo Sung-ha defected to South Korea in 2002. He defected to South Korea in 1994. He became a professor in South Korea. He stopped working as a professor during the Moon administration. I think the Moon administration wanted him to stop teaching the students about the reality of North Korea.
In 2015, he revealed on CNN thathttps://edition.cnn.com/2015/05/21/asia/north-korea-spies/index.html
QuoteNorth Korean spies are operating in countries across the world including the United States, where he estimates hundreds may be working at any one time. One of their main purposes is to try to recruit Korean-Americans who lean towards supporting North Korea, he said.
"There are three different tactics they use," he said. "First is to give them free visas to North Korea, second, to give them access to do business and make money there and third, they use women to entice them. This tactic has been widely used since the '80s."
Kang said he used to work in the Unification Development Division in 1984. One of the duties of this division was to send spies to the U.S., South Korea and Japan, he said, adding that the division still exists to this day.
He also was in a South Korean tv show in which the NK defectors talked about North Korea. This show had stopped during the time of the Moon administration and continued under the current administration. Kang owns a restaurant now.
