Apart from the one page, and a number of mentions of ugh stuff, that isn't as up to date as it ought to be, it is perfect.

Any particular thoughts?

Haven't had the time to sit down with it, but I did enjoy seeing my name in the playtesters/proofreaders acknowledgements!  :P

Are they only including LV-223 from F&S? If so, not really that big of a deal IMO

Tarturus (Tartarus?) from Life and Death is on there too.

An entire section (Rumor Control) on how the Accelerant created an entire ecosystem, and a strange mountain even creatures it coexists with fear. And the story of how a Alien hive got established, that can be effected by the Accelerant, it also mentions the fact that an entire store of the Accelerant exists below the surface- yet on specific Company pages (depending upon the group) it mentions how the group does or doesn't want to acquire the Accelerant- but according to the book a ton of it is available in plain sight? It makes no sense. Not to mention that now that Covenant exists, we now it's not a genetic Accelerant at all but a Pathogen with a specific purpose, so it can't create an ecosystem or do half the things it's described to do in F&S or L&D and the idea it can affect the Alien species itself most of all is absolute nonsense.

I hate it, I hate it, I hate it so much.

It also totally contradicts the brief planet description on the last page, more in line with Prometheus' depiction- describing dust and electrical storms that destroy nearly everything on the surface- the way it ought to be.

Ultramorph

This wasn't really on my radar, but I love how it's using stuff from the comics like Fire and Stone, and even throwing in references to stuff like the Mala'Kak. I may have to check this out.

It shouldn't be using non-canon (Garbage) material that contradicts the current material, case in point- everything about LV-223 past the Prometheus time period.

Again after re-reading the Alien section, I don't mind any of it apart from the ordering and naming being really unclear and confusing and how the Crusher, (Carrier, Ravager) and Weaver come about involving being an already existing class, Soldier, Scout, Enhanced Soldier, Enhanced Scout and the Praetomorph- then gorged on Royal Jelly? No thank you.

It's more simple and less ridiculous if all the extended hive types came from a number of Praetorians, no longer serving much tactical purpose just cocoon themselves into such a specialisation: Crusher, Carrier, Ravager and Weaver. Also this way further expansions can add more specialised types to the bestiary if the developer wishes.

That all sounds absolutely garbage-tier.

Although it wouldn't surprise me if the whole thing was a product of compromise.

I'm cool with it (although I'm not a fan of royal jelly). But I don't see any contradictions regarding the pathogen because we know of at least two strains of black goo. If even one drop of the accelerant from the first scene in Prometheus is present on LV223 than there's no reason to discount the biosphere on a small part of the moon. I'm intrigued just thinking about how the two strains would interact with one another. Looking forward to finally getting the physical book in hand. I read the starter PDF And Chariot of the Gods but I'm refraining from downloading the whole thing as I want to read it on paper pages.

Local Trouble

I don't know much about the goo since I tend to ignore the prequels, but it sounds like they're throwing in everything from the pre-Covenant EU.  Why do that?

A serious downer then, because the "It's a strain" excuse convenient as it is, considering David took an identical batch of cargo of the Pathogen from LV-223 to Planet 4. Is even more harmful when you consider the implication that now, the idea is a catch all for letting the liquid do anything the story creator desires, that's a travesty and as dumb as it gets.

No reason exists to leave the life-creating substance, whatever it is on LV-223, we know that installation is a weapons facility. And even if it is also on LV-223 - what about all the things it does in that series that we know it doesn't do in Covenant at all? The another strain idea?

It's just so frustrating to see people in creating the lore, misinterpret it so completely and utterly when it's so clear. Especially with Covenant and additional material such as Advent, David's Drawings and The Cold Forge.
If more accessible "versions" of the Pathogen exist it turns it from a believable and terrifying weapon with rules to complete nonsense bullshit that can do whatever the story desires.
