Weyland Makeup looks crappy

Why didn't they just hire an older actor to play Weyland?  It's a walk-on roll, 1 week filming tops.

Guy Peirce is a great actor and all, but seeing him in that Benjamin Button makeup just looks terrible and takes you out of the film.
