An artist named Marek Okon has shared some of his artwork of mind controlled aliens. In the artwork, it shows Weyland-Yutani employees deploying two xenos for a training session.

This is the full artwork. I will put it in spoiler tags so it does not take up screen space.

Here is an early render of the artwork.

Below is a statement from the artist.

QuoteDon't worry Ma'?am, we have them under control"

Ever since I heard Neill Blomkamp is gonna make new Alien movie I felt all the juices flowing ;] I had this idea rattling in my head that I just had to draw - what if military actually succeed in controlling Aliens... or so they thought.
"Aliens" is one of the best movie ever in my book and I would totally love to work on new one so if you have direct contact with Neill please let him know about me ;]

On technical side I mostly used workflow from my "Illustration Unchained" series, plus some new experimental stuff that probably will end up in "UI:2". Rough 3d base model was made for APC, characters posed in DAZ, aliens are based on photoshoot I did to my lovely alien figure.

Here is a link to the Mr. Okon's site.

Thanks to aliensversuspredator.net over at scified.com for sharing this cool concept art!

While the idea of harnessing the Aliens as bioweapons is a fascinating one, those pictures address the concept in the most ham-handed fashion.  All it would take is a bullet to hit those computers on their heads and everything would fall apart.  For me personally, I think the best idea would be for the Company to use the Alien's genetic material to breed a whole new creature that could be trained and controlled.  This would of course not be an easy thing to do.

I do understand where you are coming from. The artwork itself looks amazing, but the idea would just not make sense. Just exactly how is Weyland Yutani suppose to mount those devices on every xeno that they come across? Would they put them in stasis? In order to do that, they would need to capture them, and that could only work if they caught them one at a time.

Good artwork but the boxes on their heads takes the focus away from the aliens face to this clunky, projector like contraption

Hehe ;D We all see this thing going out of control real fast...and for me it works. I actually love every pixel of this concept art, I like it better than all Blomkamp's concepts  ;D

PS. It's amazing how enthusiastic artists are about this new movie. David Woodruff doing his make-up tests, now this guy. Cool.

Every time I see that picture, while very well made, it makes me think of Ray, from 'Ghostbusters', with one of those goggle sets from the cartoon show.

I'd like to think that, seeing as, right now, we have the technology to control cockroaches, any mind-controlled Aliens would have much less obtrusive technology.

Then again, I also like to think nobody would be crazy enough to try doing so... What would be the point? Just exploit their biology for new weapon-applicable patents and create new technologies with them all.

Sending in dozens of mind-controlled xenomorphs into enemy territory could be absolutely devastating.

Only if the enemy hasn't already prepared. :)

They could cause a lot of destruction to a city, but once the military knows what's up, they could potentially be contained early on.

Ultimately, there are a lot better options for a military to deploy.

Such a cartoony concept.

"Controlling" the aliens didn't work out too well for General Spears in Nightmare Asylum...,

I think that any robotic prosthetics that are attached to Aliens should not make them look like they have eyes.  The fact that they have no eyes is they're single most disturbing feature IMO.  Even if you see a bear, you sense some level of emotion in their eyes, but the Aliens are completely impossible to connect with on that level.

Really cool drawing and thanks for sharing the illustration process.  Those of us who are artists or designers will appreciate that..

Folks, let's try to keep this a friendly environment for the artists who are contributing something that they have worked hard on.  Every time an artist puts his / her work out there they are sharing a part of their soul with you.  We as casual forum members get to see their talent at no cost to us.  Whether we like the ideas presented or the way they are presented, we should be grateful that the artists share their visions with us.  They don't have to.

It's very good artwork, beautifully executed, but I do find it such an uninspired idea. Weaponising the alien is one of those  A L I E N  backstories that doesn't really need to be explored, because it can only ever undermine the mystery of them. We assume the company want them for the weapons division, we feel that such an idea is probably insanity - that's enough.

OT:

Actually, one could effectively argue that W-Y is dong the right thing by trying to secure specimens.  How else are you going to fight the aliens other than by studying them?  It's what I would do if I were W-Y CEO.

Sums it up.
