Has anyone heard of any special Alien-related products or merch set to be announced on 4/26? I haven't seen any official promotion for Alien Day this year.

Seems to become less and less every year :-\

Maybe disney might make it strong again and relase a surpise alien comics it deftintaly seems to been getting less merch announce and relased on that day even before covid

With two different projects in development, it would be nice to hear something about Hawley's show and/or Alvarez's film... but I'm not expecting anything regarding either.

As it is, Alvarez already posted a "Happy Alien Day" Tweet on the wrong day (3/26), so unless something has changed in the last month, I don't think his plans for the day amount to anything more than a Tweet along those lines.

New comic release day is on Wednesdays. It has to do with the deliveries going out to the shops and everything, it isn't really Marvel's call there. A Tuesday release date just isn't something that the comic industry is set up for.

Though to be fair the quicker Salvador Larroca's tour's over the better.

I'm really not expecting much except a pair of Bug Stompers. The book was delayed and wasn't originally intended to release Alien Day, but I appreciate them doing that (even if it wasn't intentional). It'd be nice to hear something official about the TV series but I doubt it - they're still writing. I also doubt we'll get anything from Fede.

Maybe Cold Iron will have something to release? We'll see.

I wasn't really expecting much new stuff to be officially announced, so that comes as no surprise. Hopefully once things really start to get rolling with the TV show and movie Disney will start to ramp up the promotion a bit and we might get back to seeing more promotion-filled Alien days like we have in the past.

But regardless, yay Aliens! ;D Might have to get back on Fireteam Elite tonight and blast some with the new Lancer. Dem beams is good!

Pretty much a bust this year.

It seems that they started celebrating it strong and as a few years passed they lost interest in it.

Darkness Calling, an online community of indie musicians and indie music listeners, has released They Mostly Come At Night, an album of new songs that are either lyrically inspired by or feature samples from the Alien films. They Mostly Come At Night is a non-profit project. Anyone can stream the collection for free on Bandcamp, and anyone who chooses to pay for/download the compilation will be donating to The Trevor Project, a US charity that focuses on suicide prevention for LGBTQ teens.

I feel like we are the only ones celebrating this anymore. There's a show and a movie, and neither released anything for this "fandom holiday"

In a sense it has one in Ridley Scott – both upcoming projects are coming through Scott Free, with him attached as producer.

Beyond that, though, I don't want a Kevin Feige-type micromanaging things long-term. That's how you end up with everything feeling too samey, and the core appeal of Alien as an ongoing franchise to me is the each individual installment is incredibly distinct in how it embodies the style and intent of each individual filmmaker spearheading each project.

I echo your sentiments nearly exactly.

Basically my son and I exchanged happy alien day texts.....I think I'll grab him one of those shirts.
