The first Predators footage has been released online via the Official Predators Website. It’s introduced by Robert Rodriguez and shows lots of new things including the new Predators and the dogs.

I especially like the cinematography as well. According to the official website, the teaser trailer will go live on the 18th of March. The pqred mask is ok, but the aody muscle aint muscler like predator, predator 2, and the AvP predators. I think that pred had eatin to much apples lol. looks good so far

Hmm... I'm not sure about this... I'm not a fan of Rodriguez and his work, so I have my concerns with what he might do to this franchise (as well as the Preds themselves). The whole concept of him creating "bigger, meaner, super Predators" is an immediate red flag. After seeing the clip, I'm a bit more concerned now. After the whole debacle with AVP:R, I don't think I can stand another film skewering our favorite franchise.

just noticed a few things while pausing the vid lots- Fishburne has an old predator mask hes carrying about which is pretty cool!

I think the part with all the lasers at the end of the clip maybe the ending part of the film tbh - kinda same as in Predator 2.

I like how they have evolved the face tbh - (thats assuming its the same as the sketch) seems they've just made it alittle scarier.

also if you pause it at the right moment you get to see the Predator releasing one of the pred hound things - his mask looks well different and the hound actually looks good!!

Looking better than I expected to be honest, but not enough to get me excited just yet. The Predator designs still look a little goofy to me, only acceptable when blanketed in darkness.

i believe thatz BSP @ 1:01 cant wait until  dis comes out so far so good i hope they dont screw dis one up i have high hopes

This looks amazing, i cant wait to see predators. Roll on july looking at this fooage it works, i can see this being a worthy sequel to the original.

Judging from the shots, the design and atmosphere looks promising since there will be none of that design clash concept in AVPR. Still..... would be nice to see Preds actually doing this on a Colony/Marines like backdrop. After Aliens Reserruction there was no Movie that even came close to that kind of backdrop. Im just gona give this film the benefit of the doubt since it WAS an old script.

is it jus me or does one of the preds have tusks? if you look a the gallery and find the picure of a pred holdin up the dude with the gattling gun he defo looks like he got tusks......like Chaos Terminators.

yea it has tusks, im guessing this is wher his character will die, we see him running in the tunel and being shot down, then crawling away with the foot of the pred visible and then this pic, wher if u look at the hand its not actualy holding him up so it must be the blades in him

Laurence Fishburne looks Epic

This actually looks... great! I'm glad that there are quite a bit of resemblences to the original (rattling, "over here", "anytime", Blade desigs, architecture of surrounding, finger nails of the BSP... it actually has won my hope in contrast to those poor leaked pictures 2 months before
Well I guess that the one in the background of the homepage and with the Single blade is BSP. The Mask designs actually look better than on the pics, especially the one with the tusks. The one releasing the Pred-Dog looks like the most exotic one... I'm still sceptical about him...
BTW: I'm glad that sometimes you can see that it's a guy in a suit... better than if you can see that it's CGI

The CG predator "dogs" have me worried. The addition of a new monster is, most often, a sign that there isn't a whole lot of story to tell and they would rather sell toys than make good movies.

It does look very, very different though. Personally, I like the idea of a predator as a lone hunter... I just can't see a group of guys in a setting that is cultivated for them to be hunted in by predators surviving an attack by one, let alone a bunch.

I just vomited in my mouth a little just from the main page screen shot.  Time to take a closer look....

At the last part of the teaser, you will hear the phares "Over Here~" and "Turnaround~". The exact same dialogue from the first Predator. Could be a hint or a coincidence.

It's extremely likely that they won't actually use "Over here" and "Anytime" at all in the film, if Robert Rodriguez is as competent as I remember him. Those samples were from Mac used by the first predator who, as we all remember fondly, was crushed by one of Dutch's traps. And exploded.

These predators wouldn't have the audio samples, and it wouldn't make sense for them to try to lure their prey with an unfamiliar voice.

The most likely case is that most of the sounds and music cues we hear are placeholders, as you'll undoubtedly recognize the same exact predator roar and the Alan Silvestri drum cues hear and there. This is actually pretty common for sneak peeks and things like this, to have temporary sounds or such, and also common for marketing to use familiar elements to elicit feelings of nostalgia for fans.

I really feel this is going to be another cheap movie.
I love Brody, Fishbourne is quite charming, but director... Most known movie is Armored? And what was it? A cheap suspense flick with well known actors. For my taste of course.
I feel like AvP is really declining in quality and that is sad. With such a start at 80ies, now all the mixes are pathethic. Games were quite ok, but even the last one is more of a multiplayer massacre rather than a story deeply delving in a futuristically captivating universe.

True, but they did say this movie is a reinvented version, so im guessing the first predator movie never actually tie in to this one since it doesn't. This movie takes place in an alternate opening where the main character in Predator2 was kidnap instaed of running around hunting the pred. In other words, anything can happen~

I think I hve to be put in my place here, looking at that clip on the website really has be a little curious to see this. It looks like, if you go back to the 80's, that this could work. If you go back to the 80's and line up Alien, Aliens and Predator...I can see this in that line up. I'll just wait to see it now.

Is it just me or does less seem more sometime? I mean i love the Predator but this just seems like, a couple of people have said here, a rape of the franchise. I hope im wrong but super predators, hound predators, common!! What ever happened to keeping the characters we love the same and just putting them in a good story? Rather than a mediocre story with a bunch of other non-sense mixed in as filler. Granted i will say that the feel of the movie seems solid and the actors look believable but the supposed "Stars" of the movie, look horrible, im sorry but its true (i feel its a step down from the Wolf, design wise).
And i cannot stress how much i miss Stan Winston (rip) because nothing will compare the the designs of the first two...

PREDATOR *DOES* TIE IN. It's even in the script. It's mentioned as a "ghost story." A story about a man defeating one of these demons. Do not think for a second this movie ignored Predator. It actually aims to be a sequel to Predator, ignoring all of the other films.

It looks good but I said the same about the AVP first trailers and they were terrible...especially AVP-R. So I'm reserving judgement on this until I see the finished product. Also what's with this skinny predator? Is it supposed to be a female predator?

i agree with darkness, the cinematographer looks great. the direction looks alot better than the avp movies, not sure on the new look of the predators but im very excited, cant wait for the trailer to drop! like the predators logo and red background

This looks awesome!!! I knew it would!! FOX has crippled ur faith!!! This is the first time a decent producer/director and cast has been attatched since the origanal Predator film!!! And that is FOX'S fault however has been making decisions for the franchise up untill this needs shooting!! RR AND NA WILL RESTORE FAITH!!! Also may i say Brodey looks good and Fishburne will be cool!!! Why did we not see Danny Trejo and his twin Uzi's??? Maybe on the 18th when the first trailer comes out!!! Come on!!!!

Its because the same characters would be boring... If you change it up alittle bit, then it wont be as boring, it'll be something new..  Thats what happened in ALiens with the Queen.

Look, I'm one of the biggest fans of both franshises, loved all the movies but you can't deny that Alien, Aliens and Predator stand out as the best of the series, why is that? Well the common threads in those movies are solid directors who care about SUBSTANCE over STYLE and the man himself Stan Winston. Obviously though, some changes and tweaks are necessary, i dont want a remake.
But there's a difference between evolving a character and flat out changing it (hound predator, super predators). I thought that the Wolf was the "super" predator, now there's a better Wolf? Whats next a super duper awesome predator? You get the point. In conclusion, i understand the need for change but the Predators are the stars of these movies, thats who you pay to see so why f**k with them so much?? You wouldn't change Indiana Jones or Jack Sparrow would you?

Absolutely no complaints after seeing this and can't wait for the trailer.  Especially as it now seems pretty much PREDATORS is a re-imagining of the series, or possibly a prequel, though Rodriguez doesn't actually say that.  The point is the movie DOESN'T ignore anything, in particular Predator 2 which I always liked.  So, this is where it all started, it will be interesting then, to see how it all ties together ....AWESOME!!

@SHREK, you jump to conclusions man. I think they meant real Predator vs Real Predator. Not guy in suit vs Real Predator. And plus, it's no different than when Arnie covered himself in mud. Same purpose. Have faith man, this film could turn out really well.

Give the human race some credibility to come through against all odds..the Predators are not infalliable.. they make mistakes..they have their weaknesses despite their technological superiority..in fact they seem to have many characteristics similar to humans...killers v killers always makes for good viewing..yes given the circumstances it should be a good hunt but expect a few surprises!

I don't think there is such thing as honor in this one. These Preds look like Rednecks,rather then the previous Preds like Wolf. Imagine Alien hooligans running around just waiting to gank you when they feel like it. Although it does take a new prespective into the Pred culture. Even in the comics there preds that are just downright screwed up compared to the normal ones.

been waiting for this movie forever it seems.  Many of my fears of them jacking it up have been put aside, i.e.; Brody, Grace?!, but looks very well put together.  Doubtful that Fox would allow another bad investment.  I'm not in love with the idea of how they updated the mask or face of the Pred, but its not horrible like the fake looking mask in AVP.  I could create something more realistic looking!  Cant wait to see how it ends,  just once could the predator win?!  Hope this leads to more quality Pred films and comics for my collection

After watching the snippets again and again. Something came to mind. They did say that it is a game resevere for preds to hunt humans. right?

The only way a pred would fight each other, is if they are from another tribe. Meaning we might actually see a big slugfest between preds. The ending part of the clip shows a guy being targeted by numerous Plasma Canons, could this mean they actually stumbled upon another tribe while running away from another. HELL YEAH!!! SLUGFEST!!!

No, i dont think that is correct tim.  I think that the predator that royce unties, which then helps him to the ship to go back home, is the original pred.  This original pred then goes toe to toe with the new and bigger model, the SBP.  So there is only one original that is fighting the last remaining pred.  Old versus new!  Will be interesting to see what happens on screen once they make last minute surprise changes though.

But in the footage rodriguez said it's the classic original pred with a new breed of nastier and meaner and that us the face of black super predator

well, maybe they just showed that picture while he was talking.  I was just going by the script that was posted online.  I think that he meant it has the original and also a new breed.  Looking at the poster and a quick shot of the teaser looks like the new pred has extra teeth coming out of the mandible area and protruding from the biohelmet as well.  Others have commented that they dont seem too muscular, however the original was much leaner than those in the AVP movie.  Kevin Peter Hall was tall and lean, not bulky.  Hope the original gives the SBP hell!

Ok you have the orig in the footage then you have maybe orig sbp then you have a origional pred tied up on the pole when they are firing. So does that mean there are 3 origional predators in the battle lol

I dont know if you read the script, so i dont want to spoil it for you, but the only original in the script is the one that they find tied up, which gets released by royce, which then puts on his armour and fights the last remaining pred which is the bigger bad new guy.  The other two preds that were with the SBP, are not on the scene at this time.  ANd I think that the part where we have Brody with the lasers on him is where it talks about them looking at him and his heart rate remaining calm as if he is not afraid to die.  dont think this is a different ending.

Just cutting in between you and CHRIS that what RR means by 2 preds fighting each other, it's old Predator (look-alike from first movie) vs Black Super Predator. You of all ppl should have read the script when it came out. I did and didn't want to. Nolan is the guy who has been on the plant for a few years, he's been hiding and now with pred tech, he has been ale to get around them.

To bryan it is a game reserve.And ok so the black super pred goes at it with the Predator from predator 1..We know predators fight to the death so wouldnt he have to beat the black super predator to be in the first film, he obveously makes it right..And ppl who are complaning about the guy who dresses up in the predator gear it does sound silly i get it..But if you were on a foreign planet with monsters you would try to arm yourself i dont care what u say..It may not be the most exciting to you but it makes sense..and aint there supposed to be a female predator in here??

I'm interested. Well it certainly helps that there aren't any ADI predaliens or aliens in the movie. The shots look as if they're from something I have plans to see.

to Alientailwhip, I dont think this could possibly be the pred from the first movie, only referred to as the original as in design/costume, which will always be the best to any true fan!  As to Nolan wearing the pred gear, it only makes sense to put on A, the helmet to see the preds while they are cloaked, B, the armour, because it no doubt is stronger than human armour and would protect you better.  Anyone wanting to stay alive on this place would try to even the odds as best they can.  I dont believe they are making him a pred warrior such as in the comic books with machiko. That is a concept I am not a fan of.

Well i took a look at the sneak peak at Predators. Like i said before and i'll say it again. i still have a big worries about this movie. I just dont like the idea of humans being on the predators' homeworld being hunted which i find very out of place. but this movie sounds too much like Aliens with humans instead of fighting aliens they're fighting the predators. i like the idea of one or multiple predators hunting prey on different planets instead of this plot idea. i still wont see it since fox screwed us TRUE fans of the franchise twice with the horrible AVP movies directed by assholes and fox is just milking this series till it dries up. i will check out the full trailer to see about but i wont see the movie in theaters not wasting my money to see this movie after being disappointed with both AVP movies. I will however see the new Alien prequel directed by Ridley Scott which i have more faith in instead of Robert Rodriguez's Predators.

Its NOT the same Predator from the first movie, its just the same DESIGN, specifically from the same race or clan of the first Predator. This is a sequel, so our good friend from the first film will not be in this. The Predators that you see in this sneak peak are the "evil Predators" (if predators werent evil enough). I'm looking forward to seeing the original Predator design in this film... (spoiler) and to him duke it out with the evil predators

Funny reading all 3 pages of this, and you still have idiots saying "I don't like that the humans are on the Predator homeworld." How many times do you need to be corrected? IT ISN'T THE PREDATOR HOMEWORLD. If you've watched the sneak peek footage 100 times, then why aren't you paying attention to the fact that they say they are being hunted on a game preserve?

As for Nolan wearing Predator gear, it's because he's amassed a collection of various weaponry -- from Predator(s) and god knows what. He's a survivor. He isn't playing dress up. He hasn't been inducted into the Predator hall of fame. He's not a member of the Hunter's Lair.

With all due respect to the good guys on this board who wanted to withhold judgement until a trailer or some footage of the movie was shown. Now that RR has given us his sneek peek of "Predators", I think it is safe to say that there will be no saving this movie. There are just too many things wrong with it. I don't even think I can count all of them, but I will try.

1) Adrien Brody does not look badass as Royce. The scene where he is all dirty and his back is to the camera gives us a good view of his spindly little arms. Its utterly laughable how some people were thinking he could pull of the role of a mercenary.

2) The Predators look like crap. None of them are wearing any netting. Their tusks are protruding from their helmets. The helmets themselves are oversized.

3) The design/look of the Predator hunting dogs is nonsensical. Are those antlers? WTF. I thought antlers on a dog was stupid looking when I saw them on the Grinch's dog.

4)Laurence Fishburne is fat. How does he sustain that much weight while in captivity on a predator game reserve? The only way he could have gotten the predator gear he is wearing is if the predator chasing him died of a heart attack laughing!!

5)One of the predators has a long metal blade that prodrudes from his wrist mount. It is completely impractical for a blade that long to be used as a clawing weapon. Thats one of the things I hated about the AVP predators. There is no reason why their blades need to shoot out that far. It's ridiculous!!

6) Worst of all, there is a rumor going around on the message boards that says that this movie will be PG-13. RR, Say it ain't so! The least that douchebag and his Hungarian numbskull director can do is give us an R-Rated movie.

I am completely disheartened by the SXSW footage. I wanted to believe that RR would reinvigorate this movie franchise with some fresh new talent, and take it in a bold new direction. I just don't see how that will be possible now.

Someone should have listened to Frenchy Pred and killed RR before he killed Predator.

They've said countless times that the movie is going to have an R rating -- they just might have to trim a few of the gorier parts out for the DVD. Read all of the interviews and reports from SXSW. Rodriguez fully intended this movie to carry the R rating and as a "sequel to PREDATOR," there's no way in HELL it'd get a PG-13.

why do people complain about stuff they havent seen yet..almost every fan is excited but a few people..kidna funny that they know how the movies is going to turn out..cuz 1 ur stupid 2 ur arrogant 3 your not real 4 ur probably fat 5 you sound rediculous and 6 its rated R u slow bus...

to the realist, I have to agree with just about all of your points, however I still will watch and buy anything predator.  The pics released earlier made the predator heads look even bigger, and I was getting nervous.  This does look like a decent movie.  Lets just face it, they will never make a predator movie that can stand alone beside the original.  Just as the new star wars movies with all their better technology just cant compare to the first three.  I was hoping that Lawrence Fishburne would change his appearence somewhat, like with dreds and a beard,  how does he keep clean shaven like that and short hair since the vietnam era?!!   I'm just glad it looks better than I thought it would and the critics are already saying it looks great instead of saying we didnt need this movie!

This movie is going to be AWESOME!!!! Can't wait to see the trailer tomorrow!!! West Side Gummy Bears!!!!

You may as well throw the yautja some medieval swords, there blades are getting that long, imagine when the next film comes out called Predators 2, the predators will be walking around like there on crutches, because there blades will be that long!

I just think that having read the pred comics and avp comics in the omnibus forms recently that we are gonna be shafted royally when this movie comes out because we hear the word "predator" movie in the works, and they turn out to be disappointments ala AvP and AvPR so just either wait for reviews to pop up or dont even bother seeing it.  May as well watch a fan film instead.

Saying this movie isn't "needed" is plain retarded. Is any movie "needed"? The Alien and Predator movies are classics and still loved even to this day. There will always be some trace of them in Hollywoodland. Every body wants to make one and nail it. The failures only strengthen that yearning. Good, bad, or ugly. They won't just go away.

Now with the whole AVP story, I am sort of expecting a short cameo from an alien, you know, as the intro for the movie showing what the Predators are exactly and what they are doing there.

And personally I loved AVP and AVPR, what I did with those two movies, especially AVPR is I didn't watch it and acted like a critic, I just had fun with the movie and I enjoy it.
