Great stuff!

I hope Ridley will direct a few more episodes as well.

Aaron Guzikowski said he had 5 season blueprint so I'm sure he'll be back.

In a recent interview Ridley expressed interest in returning, should there be any future episodes. Assuming his Gucci schedule allows it, I would guess that we'll see at least one more episode from him. 8)

I wouldn't be shocked if HBO Max increases the budget of the show beyond what TNT gave them for season one, too.

'Raised by Wolves' Renewed for Season 2 at HBO Max

Quote"Raised by Wolves" has been renewed for a second season at HBO Max. The news comes two weeks after the drama series debuted on the streaming service.

Aaron Guzikowski created the series and serves as executive producer. Ridley Scott also executive produces via Scott Free Productions in addition to directing the first two episodes, marking his television directorial debut. David W. Zucker, Jordan Sheehan, Adam Kolbrenner, and Mark Huffam also serve as executive producers.

"When I think of 'Raised by Wolves,' I think of artistry; artistry in crafting a compelling storyline, artistry in the out-of-this-world production design, special effects and cinematography, artistry in our actor's portrayals of these memorable characters, and artistry attached to the legendary work of Ridley Scott, Aaron Guzikowski and our phenomenal crew," said Sarah Aubrey, head of original content for HBO Max. "This chart-topping series beautifully weaves together Ridley's hallmarks of sci-fi and horror while offering fans one of the most original storylines they've seen in some time. I can't wait to see what's in store for season two."

The show centers on two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As the burgeoning colony of humans threatens to be torn apart by religious differences, the androids learn that controlling the beliefs of humans is a treacherous and difficult task. It had originally been ordered to series at TNT before being moved over to HBO Max last October.

It stars Amanda Collin, Abubakar Salim, Winta McGrath, Niamh Algar, Jordan Loughran, Matias Varela, Felix Jamieson, Ethan Hazzard, Aasiya Shah, Ivy Wong, and Travis Fimmel.

"Being a dyed-in-the-wool advertising man, I was knocked out by the extraordinary campaign done by HBO Max marketing, which conveyed the ambitious storyline in such a provocative and tactile manner, and deftly positioned our first season of 'Raised by Wolves' as a 'must watch' show," Scott said. "It must have been a notable challenge to selectively plumb the riches in Aaron's storylines. We were even happier that audiences have responded so enthusiastically. We are already deep into the 'layers' of season 2, as Aaron has begun to shape what we think will be another brilliant season to inspire the imagination."

So Ridley is already on it huh?

It sounds like he'll do Gucci hot on the heels of The Last Duel since they already have Adam Driver and Gaga signed on and confirmed. So if they start filming season 2 early next year his schedule should hopefully be clear.

Game of Thrones got quite a sizable budget increase with each season so hopefully RBW will as well.

And agreed, the marketing of this show was fantastic. Take note @WarnerMedia, @Legendary @DuneMovie

Wolves is the top performing Max Original show since the platform's launch, so essentially it's now their new flagship show. And as I mentioned earlier, the trailer views on YouTube also completely trounced those of the other shows.

I like how they have chosen this classical piece featured in the scene in the sixth episode.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HGpqcBdntw

Its from Handel's famous opera Serse (Xerxes) set in Ancient Persia about 470 BC and is very loosely based upon Xerxes I of Persia; the piece featured in the series is opening aria, "Ombra mai fu", sung by Xerxes to a plane tree.

But what is interesting is that Xerxes was one of those kings (Darius, Cyrus, Artaxerxes) of Achaemenid dynasty that worshiped Mithras (Zoroastrian pantheon) as many historians presume based on some material historical evidences.

This is an inscription in Susa Palace made after successful restoration by Xerxes and Artaxerxes:

"...May Ahuramazda, Anahita, and Mithra protect me against all evil, and may they
never destroy nor damage what I have built."

Do you think it was a random choice or it was planned?

Absolutely intentional, I'd say. Especially since the showrunner said that we'd be learning more about the origins of the Mithraic religion in the show, and I believe that he even alluded to it being directly connected to the Mithraic religion of old.

I loved All 6 episodes but the first 2 Directed by Ridley Scott are, by far, better than the rest and the Cinematography was perfect. Greatest Dariusz Wolski work since PROMETHEUS. I hope Ridley Scott Directs the final 2 episodes of Season 2

That scene reminded me of a John Jude Palencar painting:

Nightmare Asylum

There is a significant lack of milk in the John Jude Palencar piece.
