Ashur deserved it. i mean he was going to plant the spear in gannicus's skull. Loved how they got rid of tullius when that was happening i was asking myself how the hell is it possible that batiatus and selonius had such an hate relationship in spartacus blood and sand but now i know

No gods in a "clash of the titans" way. its more realistic storywise. But if you like "300" you will love spartacus it's the same style.

Hmm... I've watched a bit of Spartacus: Blood and Sand. I haven't seen any Gods of the Arena though, is it as good as the first series?
As far as my favorite TV series, I watch most of my stuff on Netflix, lol.
