i agree, that movie is so underrated!! and i say that as a fan of the book too.

It is one lovely film. It could just be me because I like loooonnngggg films (like the Extended Edition of LOTR or Dune itself), but I really do like the extended cut.
Acting is top notch here! And Rambaldi's Sandworms are some of the best movie monsters out there I'd say. Very cool design that also introduced the multiple jaws and chainsaw teeths thing on movie monsters (followed by lots of others). To those which think Italians should do pizza and nothing more! ALL HAIL RAMBALDI!
